Solid Structure and Style - Worth Every Penny !
This bookshelf was everything I could've wanted. It was affordable and not too hard to assemble, although I did need help; the final product is taller than I am, so my friend helped me put it together and attach it to the wall. It arrived quickly and had a rich color, and after months of using it for board games, vast amounts of books (as an English college student), and video games. My roommate and I have used it for proper storage as well as decor--it's eyecatching moreso than a more simple bookshelf, and its design also allows space for decorations like candles and picture frames.tl;drPROS:- gorgeous bookshelf in both color and design- sturdy and long-lasting, holding up all we've piled onto it- excellent product for the price, with wide shelves and some serious heightCONS:- self assembly can lead to a crooked shelf here or there, so be careful while putting it together- taller than I am/than I expected it'd be (but this could also be a pro if you've got a lot of books and such to store)This is a wonderful piece that I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable bookshelf.

Great little shelf bookcase
This looks just like the more expensive version that I have seen in the furniture store. The wood is not as thick as the one in the store but you could not tell the difference if they are not side by side. It is a great addition to my living space. Not hard to put together, but you need to have enough room. I added the wall hook to stabilize the unit. You could probably do without that part although the directions stress the need to use it. I used it because I collect bottles and have them on the shelves. It is very stable and I am happy with my purchase.

Nice bookcase, but a pain to put it together
So the positives:+looks nice+gives a decent amount of space+customer service was pleasant to talk to when instructions were confusing+able to nail it down to wallNegatives:-a little unstable if you don't nail it down to the wall-instructions are confusing and ended up taking it apart for a bit-can't put too many heavy objects on itOverall:I do like the design of it and I am able to put my paper back books on there however I would not trust it with hard back books. It can sway if it is not stable aka nailed to the wall. I had no issue with any warping with the wood. I do wish the instructions were better. I would get it again since I now know how to properly put it together. It took me roughly an 1 hr 30 min.

Appealing design, easy to assemble.
This is a very nice, attractive wall shelf. I would not recommend it as a free-standing unit. It should definitely be anchored to a wall for the safety of people and the items you choose to proudly display. The anchors are provided, along with easy-to-follow assembly instructions. I've noticed a few reviewers here expressing their complaints about the shelves bowing. Well, that may be possible if you're exhibiting your anvil collection, but otherwise you will find the materials to be sturdy and dependable. A perfect accent to any home or apartment, and a steal for the price.

AWESOME Bookshelf!
Wow! Not only did this bookshelf arrive in swift fashion, it looks even better in person when I got it all assembled. I've gotten many compliments for this bookshelf and it really worked as I had hoped that it would. I have a variation of art pieces, statues, artwork and books assembled on it. I'm an artist and several of my portfolio pieces which are 11X17 fit well in the larger open spaces! The bookshelf is extremely sturdy, but I secured it to the wall with some provided wall anchors for total support and piece of mind from tipping. For the price, this bookshelf truly rocks!Update: As of August 2018 (over 6 months since I put it together), the shelves started to sag. The top one was the worst of the bunch, but it caused a ripple effect and a few of the ones below that shelf started to sag as well. I didn't want to get rid of the shelf unit, plus it was well past the point of return. I'm a handy guy so I removed all of my books off of the shelves and placed some carefully placed shelf mounts at the points where the shelves were sagging and straightened them out using my leveler. The problem has been eliminated. However, nobody should have to go through that to fix a product that was so flimsily made. My rating has dropped from 5 stars to 1 star. 5 stars for the unique design, but 1 star for how poorly it was made.

cool design afforable bookcase
I put this and several other mainstay book shelves together. This one is the most stable/ It could be placed in the middle of the room as it has no unfinished sides. At first the directions look daunting but they are pretty easy to follow. I recommend it being assembled with two adults. took about 45 mins to assemble. I used the wall anchors as I have very plush carpet. Overall a very nice book case and the design is neat

It is pressed wood, so there is that. ...
The cons:It is pressed wood-- okay quality, flakes a bit where they didn't seal it fully, and means screws go in all kinds of ways if you are not careful-- that is why there is one star off.The other star off is because it came cracked on the surface of the longest piece. It comes in a box as long as that piece: How they thought it might not bend, and crack, in transit, I don't know. And sending back something this big and heavy (says 60lbs on the box) is not worth the hassle. And, of course, the screws and oversized 'L' piece for the wall mount, are silver-- on a black piece. Can't they use screws that match the color?! But, except for the wall mounts, the design hides the screws on the insides, at least. It is fairly strong, but will sway and shelves will bend and crack if given too much pressure. It has to be mounted to the wall, or someone will get hurt if it falls over. The pros:Once it is fastened to the wall (with the mismatched silver 'L' pieces and screws, ugh) it is nice and solid. If you need it like we did, kind off to the side, but don't want typical shelves, it is a great piece: It holds a lot, and looks good.Would I buy it again? Yes, knowing it's limitations and only as something that is not going to be a centerpiece. For that, I would look for, and spend for, something nicer.
