Outlasted my monitor's Display Port outlet
Ordered in December of 2021 and used daily to stream from a W11 laptop to a 2K G-Sync capable monitor at 144hz (Pixio PX278), no issues. Today (March 2024), two of my machines stopped recognizing DP input from the adapter even with different cables, and HDMI output from the monitor works fine, so I was about to write a review about how this was good while it lasted. Then I remembered I had another old laptop ling with a mini-DP input, so I hooked up a DP to mini-DP cable to the monitor and... got nothing. 14$ device beats $250 monitor - solid product.

It works
Well packaged looks nice and it works. Only problem is the adapters don't connect snugly. Luckily, it inserts far enough to make the connection, but just barely. (male end of the Dell monitor cord to female UHD adapter).

It does the thing it's supposed to do
I'm trying to travel light these days so I'm carrying a Surface Pro tablet. I have one client that has monitors that only have display port cables. Now I can connect to any of their monitors. That's pretty sweet.

There's not much that needs to be said. My old HDMI adapter was old and slow. MacOS cannot shut off the monitor properly -- I would need to manually power it off. First impression: Responsive.This adapter fixed the display shut off problem. Once the display detects no signal from MacOS, it stays shut off, instead of coming on randomly. So far, when MacOS is in sleep mode, the monitor stays shut off. The monitor also comes on properly too when MacOS wakes up. My old adapter was functional but quite annoying because can't communicate with the monitor properly.

Had to return...
These cables look amazing and what they say they do looks amazing. Except I had to return every single one of them. Got an entire box and right out of the box none of them worked. Not one cord. Tried different monitors and different PCs. Nope. Doesn't work. When I say doesn't work - I mean literally won't even work normally not just duplicating a monitor but in normal capacity does not function. Using this cable = dead monitor. There is a problem with Windows 10 and Windows 11 with the monitors and USB c ports. However there should still be electricity or some indication that the cable itself functions. This cable does NOT work.
