Drill required
You will need a drill to install. But once up the lock feature works well and there is little sagging from the line.

Easy to use
Stopped recoiling on one cable after a couple of uses and then the second cable did the same so we bought another from a different supplier

It was easy to install and set up for an elderly user. Once the required height had been set the locking device was easy to set.
