Q: I'm 6'4", could I use the regular size for getting my splits?

Yes, I would recommend it. It's sturdy, yet flexible, of adequate length to do all types of strength exercises. However, it is rather narrow, and you would have to adjust wrapping it around your feet.

It depends on what you used for cleaning. Certain chemicals might create this. I only clean mine with wiping.
