The media could not be loaded.  Pretty solid SmartLock. I was puttering around doing some other stuff, but the whole thing took about an hour to install, all said and done. The only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver.I also spray painted mine antique bronze to match the existing hardware throughout the house, though it did have a nice brushed nickel finish.I did have a little trouble getting the gateway to sync, but have it another shot and was able to add it manually using the product circled in my review.I was able to easily add my wife and family as guest users, as it prompted her by email to download the app.There appear to be other features yet to explore. I will update this review once I have figured everything out.

It took me a bit more than two hours to install the Klwenas Maec Smart Lock, and I could easily have done it in under an hour if I hadn't had to study the instructions so closely looking for clues. For instance, there is a battery compartment built into the inside lock, but the instructions never mention this fact or really show you how to remove the cover (not actually very hard.) Once I had installed the lock -- much to my delight -- I found that setting up the bluetooth/wifi functions to be extremely easy! I cannot tell you how many smart devices I have tried to install over the past couple of years, only to wind up pulling my hair out trying to get them to connect. The TuyaSmart app worked like a charm and practically connected itself. Great job.One other issue I had, is that the exterior keypad sticks out enough that it hits the handle on my exterior screen door, so I will have to replace the screen door handle handle with something a bit smaller: I can live with that. My wife LOVES not having to fumble with her keys in the cold to open the door. She also likes being able to lock the door while in her car--again not having to get keys out in the cold.If they could just improve the instructions, I'd give it the fifth star (I posted photos of the complete instructions included.)

I really like being able to lock it from the outside with one touch, and unlock it with my private code. No need to carry an extra key! I can also use the app on my phone to lock and unlock it remotely. I also like the lighted keypad!Installation took about an hour, and wasn't much more complicated than a standard deadbolt. Once installed, set up took about half an hour. Getting it to work with Alexa was a little tricky at first, but I figured it out.The instructions are adequate, with good illustrations, but the written directions could be clearer.Bottom line, it's solid, attractive, and does the job smoothly. Now instead of making key copies for family and friends, I can give them all their own access codes, which I control.Check out my unboxing photos to see "what's in the box."P. S. The two most common key types are the "schlage" and the "kwikset" type. This lock uses the "schlage" type. Blank keys for both types are standard and widely available.

Install wasn't too bad, setting up the lock with gateway was a bit tricky. Once we got it set up and programmed seemed to work okay for about a day or so then it keeps changing the settings/lock functions by itself. For example the auto relock I keep turning off in app, you can hear the lock beep as if the srtting has been stored, then it turns it self back to 5 second auto relock which locks door back after 5 eeconds of being unlocked which is super annoying. I've reset this several times and it keeps going back to this setting on its own will. Also the unit has lost connectivity with the app a few times and was saying something about Bluetooth but it's a wifi lock... I've had to remove batteries and u plug gateway to reset this problem to get app connected back to lock. Will probably be returning this.

So the instructions were very confusing.... we still can not figure out how to assign a personal password to it. Our phones do not always work with it, and sometimes no matter how long I hold the unlock/lock button down on the app, nothing happens on the lock.We haven’t paired it with an Alexa so I can’t answer that either.When it DOES work, it’s awesome. I don’t know how to fix these issues, and if it didn’t have issues it would get 5 stars. However, because there are lots of kinks in it, I can’t give it 5 stars.

Works well. Instructions are ok. Had a problem with the Bluetooth Hub, seller sent a new one quickly. Working well now. Only thing I think would be better is if it could "know" if you manually lock or unlock it by turning the lever, so if you lock it by hand the phone app still thinks it is unlocked, and vice-versa.

Smart keypad for extra safety at the front door! this works with the application on the phone , just download the TUYA app and you are good to go, it will hold several codes so it can be set up for different family members! the design is very elegant and great looking!

This lock is working great for my needs. I'm using it in a home without wifi, and it allows me to operate it with my device via Bluetooth without the wifi gateway. It's also a nice looking lock. It doesn't stick out any further than my old deadlock.
