Good robust unit
A well made piece of equipment that allows multi use of a PC case slot. The only complaint is they don't mention the need for a slimline SATA cable adapter for the DVD drive.

Solid construction and sturdy. Missing screws and cable is kind of short though.
Product came as described and fit into my 5.25" (a rarity these days I know) bay perfectly. No gaps so the dimensions seem to be well made with good tolerance. The cables it comes with to connect the 2.5" bay (SATA) drive and connect the USB 3.0 ports are a good length. **Note** that the power cable is a MOLEX to SATA and 4-pin connector Y-type cable, and this was kind of short - 6 inch I believe, which does not give much leeway in terms of cable management. (Also...MOLEX to SATA seems counter-productive, but I guess this IS for a case that still has the legacy 5.25" bays I guess...). Cables are also ketchup & mustard coloured. The only other minor thing keeping it from a full 5* rating are that it does NOT include bay drive screws to secure the unit, nor screws to secure the ODD itself to the unit. It might not be "necessary" per say since the fit is tight, but since you'll be using it to hold an ODD with a moving disc, no matter how fit the unit is in the bay, it would be best to secure with screws - especially since the instructions themselves tell you to do so, and all the necessary holes are provided. On the other hand, said screw holes aligned well with the bay so it does follow the standard well.

Perfect
I was able to insert a Laptop dvd player and an SSD "hot swappable" on my desktop computer. Plus it has the added benefit of 2 USB 3.XX ports. Overall ... a good buy. I am very very pleased.

Very nice.
Works very nicely (especially in a vertical installation, as I have it) and looks great.

Does exactly what you want it to, and better!
Ordered this from Amazon.co.uk, and this was shipped from Amazon.com via the Amazon Global service, I wish more products did this, it was well worth it!I bought an HP Prodesk 600 G1 SFF and wanted to turn it into a budget gaming PC. After building it into a Coolermaster M-ATX case (using the necessary adapters to allow for use with a standard ATX PSU) I wanted to make use of as many components from the original HP case as possible, including the Laptop DVD drive. This was PERFECT for what I wanted, not only does it let you use a slim laptop drive in a desktop (and it mounts firmly), but the 2.5" HDD Rack makes access to my SSD effortless. And the button/catch to release the HDD is nice and firm too, so accidently bumping it isn't a problem. Of course, the two USB 3.0 ports are just gravy. It also has blue LED's on the front, when there's a HDD in it, its lit up blue, and when that HDD is accessed, it flashes purple (probably a red LED mixing with the blue light). All in all, very pleased with this, does everything it says it does, and does it well with great build quality. If you need to use a laptop dvd drive in a desktop, and want some extra addons like a HDD tray and some usb ports, you can't go wrong with this!
