Creative Grids 4.5" x 12.5" Rectangle Quilting Ruler Template CGR412

This ruler is just the right width for cutting 4.5 inch squares. It works well and it was delivered quickly.

Making my quilt

I'm a huge fan of Creative Grids. If I had any other brand of ruler, I've mostly replaced them with Creative Grids over the years. When I started, I bought whatever I saw at my LQS, but now I look just for this brand. One reason is the special quarter inch line along the edges. I like the grips they use that help keep my rulers in place as I measure, draw lines, or cut with very little pressure from me. This time, I replaced my 6" x 12" main cutting ruler with a CG 4 1/2" x 12 1/2" and I moved my O' Lipfa finger guard onto this new ruler. It fits my cutting space better and I had zero time getting used to the new one. And I appreciate that it is much clearer and easier to read than my old non-CG ruler and doesn't need additional ruler grips to hold it in place.Get Creative Grids rulers. This is the perfect size for cutting pieces from pre-cuts. It is easy to handle and I cut my pieces accurately with it.

I like the convenient size this is...I love Creative Grid rulers. I hated the cutting part of quilting till I got creative grid rulers and now I don't mind it at all. They stay in place with the grips on the back that really work. I have far fewer mistakes when cutting, and 99% of the time, it is me and not the ruler slipping. I won't concentrate and keep my rotary cutter next to the ruler. So, my fault. I also like the lines on them...they are thin.

So easy to read and I love the size. Makes it perfect to size up my blocks!!

Nice size for smaller projects. I am slowly replacing my other rulers with creative grid rulers.

This ruler is the perfect size for so many cutting tasks in quilting. Does not slip, lines are clear and it has 45 and 60 degree marking lines. If you could only buy one Creative Grid Ruler, this would be it! Easy to handle in your hand and you could easily fold your fabric width to make four layers and accurately cut your strips.While Creative Grid Rulers may be pricier than others, I find that there is almost no warping to the construction of the ruler after using them for a long time. Difficult to nick and lines do not disappear. They are lifetime rulers in my opinion.

This ruler sits snuggly where it is placed and does not shift when you are cutting. I find it well worth the price and recommend it.

I picked this one to make biais border. I was looking for 4.5’’ X 18.5’’ also. Creative Grids have a good grip, they are easy to use and read and they offer a good contrast whatever the colour of your fabric. They are gorgeous tools. I already have the circular set rulers.
