Maple water is just one ingredient- water from a tree. During the long winter, the sap in maple trees collects nutrients from the soil. When spring comes to Vermont and the days grow warm, the sap starts to run, delivering nutrients and vitality to the tree. Thats when we collect the sap straight from maple trees. In the process, no trees are harmed. On the farms where the maples grow, the trees are sustainably tapped to allow for many years of water supply.

Interesting taste, and I like it
I didn't know what to expect from this stuff because this is the first time I have tried it, but I guess I should have simply taken it at face value and reversed the order. It's maple water with cucumber and lemon. Although carbonated maple water is the first ingredient, organic lemon juice concentrate is the second, and natural cucumber essence is third, with no other ingredients, by taste, cucumber is the prevalent taste, and the lemon is readily detectable, but I can't detect the taste of maple at all. This might sound like a criticism but I am quite satisfied with it. While I very much like the taste of maple water and can't detect it here, the cucumber-lemon taste is quite good. The carbonation is very light, almost to the point of being undetectable, there is no added sugar, sugar substitutes, or troublesome ingredients. It tastes very good, there are only 40 calories in a can, and I'm sure that I'll buy more of it. Although I wouldn't mind a detectable maple water taste, this is pretty good as it is.A few days later...I just ordered another case, and will probably continue ordering it from time to time. If it were a little cheaper, I'd give it five stars. On second thought, I guess I'll give it five stars anyhow. It is very good. If it were available by subscription, I'd subscribe. I'll probably order another one as soon as, or soon after, finishing the case I have now.A few months later...These have gone up in price substantially since I ordered my first case of them so, while I have since placed five additional orders, the price has surpassed my limit. Taste is fleeting, but I need my money to last longer.
