024-27596-000 - York OEM Upgraded Condenser Fan Motor - 1/4 HP 230 Volt

After 11 years exposed to the AZ elements, the bearings in the York condenser fan motor finally started to fail. I was lucky to receive advance warning (fan was very noisy) and was able limp by for 2 days after dosing the lower bearing in penetrating oil.The OEM shaft had an extreme amount of play, indicating a worn upper or lower bearing (or both).This motor is an EXACT fit for the model listed above. Comes with correct plug, correct wire length, and wire colors match. Plug and play, no splicing needed. I saved 400 dollars over a service call.Don't forget to replace the capacitor at the same time.

This was a drop-in replacement motor for my 20 year old york condenser fan. Outstanding product. Literally, 8 nuts and move the fan from the old motor to the new one. It took 30 minutes to complete this repair. I'm very impressed how easy this was.If this is your first fan motor replacement, make sure you have a way to get the fan off of the old motor. I soaked my fan with wd40 and I was lucky to tap it out with a hammer. There is also a fan puller tool that you might need if your fan is rusted onto the old motor shaft.No matter how you remove the fan from the old motor, be very careful not to bend any part of the fan blades. If you do, it will be out of balance when it spins.

My unit part that I needed was discontinued. This actually worked perfectly in its place. Now my house is cooling and heating 10 times better than before. Came promptly and packaged perfectly. My unit is older so if the recommendation says that it is a good replacement for the part you need I would believe it.

The media could not be loaded.  Replaced my old 024-27596-000 motor. My original has an open spindle (hub?) opposite the fan shaft on the back. This on has a closed hub which means water will not get in if it drips on the motor. No issues. I used medium strength thread locker to prevent the screws from loosening. Worked great.

First I must say this is a device you can’t buy randomly, you need To buy it according your electrical requirements. After that it’s just plug it in and done. I got mine working effortlessly for 2 months now and I don’t have any complaints. Very happy.

Fit perfect, and is quieter than the original motor. It might even be more efficient than the original, as well!

A great replacement for my 1/3 hp 208v 850rpm on my York 3 ton unit. Installed it in 45 minutes. If you live in Arizona this is must keep on hand for that inevitable breakdown when it's 115 degrees.
