Not for everyone but good for Chemical Engineers
This book will never be on the best seller list, but for a practicing Chemical Engineer it could be a good addition to your library. The book sits on my shelf next to Perry's Handbook along with my other references. As a Chemical Engineer, I work on some tasks often and some tasks rarely. I bought the book to help bring me up to speed for those rare tasks. My method to rate this book was to look up tasks that I work on often to see if I agree with what is written. In areas where I feel I have a high level of expertise, I agreed with the authors approach and I still found pointers that were new and useful to me. This gives me confidence that I can use this book raise my awareness for situations where I am not actively involved, but may get asked to get involved once in a while.

A Handy Text for "Ball Park" Type Estimates
This is a handy book for quick reference and quick calculation of various parameters encountered in "everyday Chemical Engineering." It is more complete than other "Quick Calc" texts and cover a wide variety of areas. These are "Ball Park" estimates and not a substitute for more rigorous calculations.
