Easy to use
Was able to pinpoint a failing bearing on a large 75hp pump before it failed completely. Was able to show my client pictures of the readings. Color display definitely helps. Highly recommend.

Nice Meter
This meter works well for taking measurements. It measures displacement, velocity, and acceleration and includes both a long and a short probe. The meter can also be used without a probe on flat surfaces. It has a nice solid feel. The display is excellent. It is bright and full color and shows data in graphs (charts) as well as tabular formats. The menu/buttons sometimes is a little awkward to use. For example, turning on or off the flashlight requires several button presses. Scrolling through the menus also can be confusing at times. My main wish is for a way to export data.

Easy to use
I checked our motors with this one and then a company came in behind us to re-verify. They concurred with my findings. I like the green, orange and yellow lights.

Inconsistent reading for repeatable vibration
I initially got this to quantify vibration from a ceiling fan. I found the results to be inconsistent. So then I tested it set on the same spot on a speaker playing the same song at the same time. This confirmed the inconsistent results I got.Would be useful to have a lead separate from the meter base. As it is designed, holding it causes vibration. But even when I positioned it in place and let go there were inconsistent readings.I'd say it is useful but not very practical. My hope was to use it for adjusting motor mount when I restore old tools. Overall I'm disappointed at the lack of consistent read outs.

Works Perfectly for Any Kind Of Motor, large or very small.
I was offered to do a free unbiased review of this product and since I had an application for it in mind I accepted.I use many electric motorized systems at work and at home, while this meter is not limited to electric motors and can also work with gas motors or for balancing fans, props or anything that may cause a vibration in a motorized system its just a great tool to have. I was particularly interested in how it worked with my Vortech MP-40 pumps and my Reeflo return pump,I have two MP-40s on the tank that have not been cleaned in 4 months. I decided to run some tests on one before cleaning and then see how well the meter could detect the changes in the pump after cleaning. To the human ear the pump sounded the same before and after cleaning but the meter could detect the changes.I have included some edited sample screenshots from the unit to show that it really does detect slight changes in a motors performance. I think this will be very handy for knowing when any electrical motor system needs cleaning and also to see when the motors performance may be dropping off and in need of maintenance such as bearing replacement or shaft / load re-balancing.The meter itself is very solid feeling and has a high quality feel to it. The display is Ok but not super high resolution. It does store the data during testing in a spread sheet type format but there is no way to export the data to a PC. I do like the fact that it uses two AAA batteries as this is one less device to keep charged. Also the case it comes with is a nice touch. Overall a very good meter to have if your into HVAC work or any hobby that uses motors.

High quality piece of gear.
I got this to check the vibration of, well, anything actually. Fans, pumps, I tend to work on a variety of equipment. The color screen offers a LOT of information, and you can view graphs of each measured parameter. Also comes with 2 probes, which is handy, sometimes you need to get a little deeper into someplace to get a reading. Comes in a nice case. Only real drawback is it runs on AA batteries instead of being rechargeable. Would much prefer if I could just plug this in. Oh well, I suppose. This is a very well made piece of equipment, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was made and how easy it is to work.
