Crappy children’s book
Ridiculous book! So short and such ridiculous words, it’s like the author did this in their sleep for a quick payout. Save your money and stick to chicka chicka boom boom and chicka chicka 123. Those are the only ones worth buying from this children’s author.

Meh
My son loves chicka chicka boom boom so we thought we would give this a shot. It’s not as good and the illustrations hurt my eyes. They’re so densely saturated and hard to focus on. I think this would be a good book for on the go as it’s short and a sturdy board book. If your kid loves chicka chicka boom boom I would pass on this, unless you find it at a thrift store for a fraction of the already cheap price.

Chicka Chicka Meh Meh
My toddler son is a huge fan of boom Chicka boom box (123, abc, and the original). So I thought this would be a no-brainer. However, as far as the writing and verse, Words does not hold a candle to the original books in the series. The pictures are the only thing that seem to fit the original tone. The sing-song onomatopoeia verses of the originals are not present at all. Frankly, I am disappointed and my son was too. The pictures seemed to be the only thing that held his attention.

Hard on the eyes.
We love the other Chicka-Chicka books and were looking forward to this book. It is cute, overall, but the illustrations are so bright and the colors so densely saturated that the contrast is really hard on the eyes. So much s, that, in some places, the text is difficult to find on the page, let alone read. I often find myself pushing this to the back of the shelf at story time. Bummed.
