Cute theme, but not that exciting
We love cooperative board games and peaceable kingdom have some great ones. We picked this one because it felt a bit different from your typical 'move pieces around the board' game. The aim is to collect four coloured gems (by collecting sets of matching-coloured fairies) to power a magic wand before Mr Winter manages to freeze the garden by putting snowflakes on the flowers. This game is 100% luck. You win or lose based on which order the cards come out of the deck, and there's no opportunities to make any real decisions or use even basic strategy. It doesn't give that satisfying feeling of achievement when you win because the game basically plays itself and you just move the bits around as instructed. It might work for very young children but even my seven year old seems a bit old for it. We much prefer Hoot Owl Hoot (which lets you talk through your choices and plan ahead in a very simple way) and Dinosaur Escape (which has a memory matching element) from peaceable kingdom - both still very easy beginner co-operative games but which feel more engaging.

My 4yo loves this.
I have a really girly 4 year old and she just adores this game. It’s pretty easy to learn, the pieces are good quality and it’s a good introduction to using cards for a game. If you want to see how it’s played, there’s a YouTube video explaining it.We love Peacable Kingdom’s co-op games. I regret buying games like Candy Land because we never play them anymore.

Family fun working together
I have purchased this game for 2 households and both have enjoyed it very much. Only child was 4 and the other 5 so they are happy to have a game they can participate in on family game night. I selected the game based on the fact that co-operative playing was required

boring game
good production values but a boring game lose interest very quickly, its just basically a card game, there are no tokens to move around the board so its just a card game.

It's fine but will not give you hours of fun
Pros:- Good craftsmanship on the toy- We love that it's a cooperative game and that you are only up against the card- Can also be played alone (as long as the kid playing pretends to have at least another player)- It's only complicated at first but one round is all it takes to get the hang of the rules.Cons:- Sadly there's a high chances of us winning against the board all the time making the kids bored too quickly- My eldest (9yo) came up with additional game rules to make it a lil bit challenging and exciting
