Q: Can this be used for cooking directly on ceramic glass stove top?

I would think you could but why would you? It’s a plate and has no handle and it gets too hot to handle. It gets pretty warm with hot food on it so it would be unable to pick up unless you use a pot holder. Would use aluminum pan grabber in a emergency but use those when backpacking and not on a indoor stove.

Q: Are these plates anodized? Would they be better if they were? I have the means to anodize it.

No I’m pretty sure they aren’t as no documentation and would cost more. It’s a personal choice. Anodized would make a better plate but only if you use a dishwasher and wood or Lexan silverware as it won’t scratch it. As is the plates discolor in dishwasher but not a issue for me. I like using lexan silverware to prevent from scratching aluminum and ingesting it. I imagine anodized would reduce the amount of aluminum ingested if using steel utensils.

Yes, this plate is included as the frying pan of the 24 camp set. The lid from the billy pot fits this plate as well. I use it for eggs and pancakes.
