Fit as expected, color is true to image. Bug repellancy is pretty decent. I am a bug magnet and get welts from May fly bites, and mosquitoes love to drink my blood until anemia sets in. I have to say I have not been bitten yet while wearing this hoodie, along with ExOfficio pants I purchased. I live in a very rural area with more mosquitoes than most, and walk my dogs every day in the woods. Every single year I have lived here (over 20 years) I get bitten by a tick or two. I have not gotten bit yet but I attribute that more to the pants. The shirt is comfy and soft, fits well (I am 5'6" and 115 lbs, bought the X-small) and I like that it is airy enough to wear in warm weather with a tank top underneath. I have used it for two months and it does tend to stretch out a bit but still looks ok. The front pocket will stretch with anything heavier than a credit card in it so bear that in mind if you'd like to carry keys, phone, etc. I feel it was a worthwhile purchase and will buy another when it wears out as it beats pouring toxic bug spray on my skin. The reason for four stars is that I believe it will wear out before my 70 washes as it already has become a bit limp/misshapen after a few washes.

I am usually a small in tops but can get away with an xs every now and then so the price difference between the two made me go xs. So glad I did because it's amply sized. A small would have been too large. I'm 5-3 125, 34 D, and float between 2 - 4. I took the shirt on a backpacking trip that floated between tropical jungle to summit winds. As many others have stated, it's not a normal hoody since it's pretty mesh, albeit a heavy mesh. I used it in many ways on just this small adventure. After all the hiking to get up, I hung up all my soaked through clothes and threw this on. It breathes and adds some warmth so I could dry out without freezing. As I dried and got colder from wind, put a light underwear shirt underneath and it was perfect. On the return, the bugs were bad so I wore it over my sports bra. It was good with bugs, a good sun protector, and full comfort for my pack straps. At lower elevations the bugs came out and while they lingered they didn't land. I was more happy that my soaking was not so severe. I know I will have to retreat this eventually but I'm far more happy that this will be a breathable, quick dry, extremely comfortable, protective garment for the long term.

I purchased one of these last summer and used it heavily for hiking and backpacking. It is super lightweight and even when hiking in the heat didn't feel too warm. Where this baby really shines is at camp! It is great to relax at camp after a day of backpacking and not be pestered by mosquitos. I also have the leggings and a bug repellant buff to make a force field! Sizing is generous. I'm 5'5" and 135lbs, athletic build and small fits loose on me.

I like the hoodie but only buy these when they’re on sale. It’s great to wear outside at night in the summer when you want to not get bitten by mosquitoes. I have 2 others like it.I ordered this one exclusively for the color and it isn’t like the color in the photo, so I’m not too happy. The real color is more like the Crayola crayon cornflower blue, not the gorgeous electric blue-violet in the photo. I’m only keeping it because the sale price was pretty good, though it’s still overpriced in my opinion considering how easily the fabric catches on any textured surface and gets nasty pulls which make it go from looking great to looking awful very quickly.

I bought this for a trip to Costa Rica where we camped along a river and expected tons of bugs. The shirt worked great at preventing bites. I'm petite (5'1") and the XS was big/loose on me but not to the point of being unwearable. It was also breathable which was great in the heat. Note: you can machine wash but have to do it separately from other clothes.

Great tunic! Used it to Flyfishing in the Brazilian Amazon!PROS: It was lightweight, good arm length, great color and bug doped!CONS: at 5’2” & 104 lbs, the XS was just a tad long and a bit loose. But way comfortable! A bit pricey though.

I got this hoody before going to South America for a vacation. I tested it in an national park and I think it served its purpose. There were plenty of bugs around me, but I wasn't bitten, though usually mosquitos bother me a lot. I got a larger size hoody to wear it on top on a T-shirt. Plan to wear it in summer for walks in the woods. I recommend this product. It takes no space, very light, and looks nice.

This shirt is very perforated and breathable. I wore it in weather that soared over 100 degrees most days without any problems. Color not quite as it looks online. I didn't get bites. I am not sure if that was from all the coverage the shirt provides or from the insect shield in the fabric, but doesn't matter. I didn't get malaria, dengue fever, or Japanese Encypholitis so SUCCESS!

It is a great big jacket and believe me it works

Fit perfect. I bought this before a trip to Costa Rica. The bugs didn't bother me so I guess it worked.

Comfortable, pockets. generous sizing, warmth but not too hot.
