About 5" tall when seated and slumped a little (not including the ears). 5 1/2" if made to sit up straight.

Q: Are the eyes made using buttons or thread?

I haven't hand-washed by soaking the whole item in water but I have had to completely wet parts, like the ears, after they've been drooled on. It turned out fine. I think if you carefully hand washed and just air-dried, it would turn out ok.
