Cutting board oil
I like the fact there is no strong chemical smell so my home didn't reek for hours. I first used this oil on my bamboo cutting board and it worked well. The oil soaked in right away and left my board with a nice feel. I liked it so well I then used it on my wood counter tops. Loved it! Made the wood look a rich color again and felt much smoother! Great product! Thank you!

Decent smell and quality oil
Use daily to keep our wood cutting board ready. This oil is light and has a decent light smell. Keeps the wood refreshed and avoids staining.

Great cutting board oil
I got this oil and cutting board wax of the same brand. I liked the idea of using an oil that wasn't a mineral oil derived from petroleum, so I figured I would give this stuff a try. I had been using their cast iron oil because it doesn't get sticky like most cooking oils, so I was already familiar with the brand. I know food grade mineral oil is supposed to be perfectly safe and it's in the base of most cutting board oils, but I just wanted to try something different than what I had been using for years. This oil works very well with my bamboo cutting boards. It appears to soak in very well. I don't have any of the more traditional wood cutting boards, so I can't say how well it works with them but I have to assume it works just well.I applied this oil and let my cutting boards sit on a rack overnight. In the morning I applied the wax. After this conditioning, water just rolls off my cutting boards and it makes them easy to wash.I do need to reapply this oil every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much I've used my cutting boards. Soap and warm water will take oils out of the wood fibers on the surface with any cutting board oils, so that's expected. The more you use your boards and wash, the more often you will need to reapply.I've seen a lot of people in the reviews complain about the smell. I'm not sure why. I actually love the smell. It's not strong smelling at all, but it does smell faintly of ginger and lemongrass. The smell doesn't last long - it's pretty much gone after the first time you wash or run your cutting board under water. I cook with a lot of garlic, and the smell does seem to help mask any odor that's on there after washing my boards and applying the oil. I think the people who dislike the smell must generally be very sensitive to smells. My only complaint about this oil is the price and the size of the bottle. It's pretty expensive for a tiny 4oz bottle! The price makes me think twice about conditioning my boards as often as I would like.
