Best alternative to conventional splint!
Reluctantly had to begin wearing a splint after breaking the finger tip of my index finger. Total bummer since every option in stores I had come across is clunky and obnoxious in general. I would remove it to wash my hands and end up not putting it back on. My finger wasn't appreciating it at all so I looked online for a better solution, thank god for this product! While I had no idea what size to get but another reviewer had posted a picture of one on their index finger in the same spot I would use it. They ordered a size 5 so based on that and doing the best comparison I could I ended up with a size 4 and it fits perfectly, what a relief! Simple, effective design and barly noticeable even while sleeping... but the price is kind of steep for what it is.

THANK YOU! Saved me from surgery
Over Memorial Day I was playing catch on the beach and jammed my finer. I thought I was going to have to have hand surgery when I just happen to stumble upon this when researching the surgery. I completely guessed as the ring size I needed. My injured finger is my left, ring finger. I knew my wedding ring was a size 7 and my daughters kids jewelry was usually a 5 and I could get that to my 2nd knuckle so I went with the 4 since this was for my first joint. It was a little bit tight at first but did not completely cut off circulation. After wearing it for 10 weeks, my finger got skinnier and now it has slid off a couple times when changing the kids clothes! It's mostly healed so that has not affected my injury. Having this splint allowed me to take care of my 2 and 4 year and enjoy my summer months!

Stops my fingers from hyperextending & gives them support
I love, love, love my Oval-8 splints. I have them for every finger, because typing without them is very painful. I wish I could do everything in my Oval-8s, but they are a bit bulky so I can't write or crochet with them on. They can be used for so many things, too. I use mine to correct the hypermobility in my fingers caused by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. They are very supportive, but they can slip off your fingers easily if your hands get cold. I've lost a few that way. My Oval-8s were fairly inexpensive, compared to other finger splints, which can cost up to thousands of dollars for all the fingers on both hands. I really can't recommend them enough, and Amazon has great prices on Oval-8s.
