UPDATE to my previous review. After just a few weeks of use, several of the plastic caps that hold the fabric onto the ends of the ribs broke off. This means that the fabric doesn't hold tight on those ribs any more and is much less functional. This issue was not misuse of the product and the caps broke off easily because they are made of cheap plastic and not metal. Very disappointed in this purchase - a waste of $30 and now I need to buy another umbrella. Would not recommend.Great size, feels very sturdy and not too heavy. It is a push to open, but you have to manually close it which can be tough because of the large size.

I ended up getting this Totes umbrella after somebody stole my previous one, and I ended up returning it because the handle wasn't flexible rubber anymore. It's now stiff hard plastic that hurts the longer you hold it. I ended going back to Wal-Mart (where I got my previous one) to get another one with the flexable rubber handle...which is, sadly, a old model now. What idiot thought a hard plastic handle would be a good upgrade??? Sorry Totes, but I'll get my next umbrella from somebody else. Not you.

Just may be the BEST umbrella I have ever purchased. I used the handy comparison feature to choose the umbrella that best fit my needs: coverage for two people; full-size, stick style; push button release; easy & neat return (closes easily with 2 Velcro tabs). It’s raining here now and it handles well. I chose the black/tan, and the bonus is that it is gorgeous! I just bought a second one to keep in the car.

I got the beige/black option which looks really nice in person. This umbrella is huge, easy to hold and sturdy. The vented canopy is important to me because it helps cut down resistance drastically on those windy rainy days. Every Totes stick umbrella I've ever had has been great quality. I only needed another because my last (ten year old) umbrella was left on a shuttle.

I ordered this to replace a $5 golf umbrella that I'd been using--my only qualm with my cheap one was that it felt unbalanced in the wind, and I thought being vented would fix that; this Totes one feels exactly the same, though. It's a sharp looking umbrella, but spending more money didn't fix my problem; the $5 is just as good!
