Perfect replacement!!!
This is an outstanding kit. We have an older mixer and with the provided tool the replacement of the blade was easy and it worked perfectly as advertised.

Easy Breezy!
My package arrived quickly. I came back on Amazon to the seller’s advertisement for the product and watched the video tutorial. I followed the tutorial instructions and had my new blade assembled in just a few minutes!

Working very well
I really like this blade assembly after getting a couple of others here on Amazon. This blade assembly works really well and has the additional benefit of the wrench and a drive socket (not needed in my case)They're sharp though I sharpened them a little more with my diamond flats to make sure I removed any manufacturing burrs and such.Others have commented that the bearings went out but so far, mine are working great.I mentioned that I have bought a couple other blade replacements for my VitaMix 5000. After 8 months the last ones (at like fifty bucks) failed. That exact replacement blade assembly has gone up to $70 I think. These are working fine. My morning smoothies (every day with nuts and veggies and fruit) are awesome! The handy tool to remove the nut / retaining thingy at the base of the container is a real plus. It sure beats Jimmying it with a Pipe Wrench (which also works well I might add)Yea. Great purchase. The original blades lasted like fifteen years I think. If these last half that long, I'll be happy.

Do not purchase
I thought I would give this blade a try since I bought an OEM blade a couple of years ago and I was unhappy that it had started leaking. But this one was much worse. While the leaking stopped, my Vitamix started making all kinds of loud noises and moving so much that the whole base started to rotate on itself. I tried putting the old OEM blade back on for comparison and the noises and shaking went away. You you get what you pay for, beware!

Works fine, eventually. At first it leaks.
Considering one of these whole Tumblr containers is over $150, this is a very good fix. But I returned the first one because it leaked. And I got the second one and that leaked too. I started to look at my options and decided to keep the second one until I made a decision as to which way I was going to go from there.Short story, I checked it a couple days later, and it was no longer leaking. It seems like the rubber gasket needs to settle in and seal up. That usually is not the case with rubber gaskets they should just work immediately but this one needed a couple of days? Either way, now my letter container is fixed and working fine.

Back up and running quickly
Machine is used in a busy coffee shop for smoothies. The included tool made quick work of removing the old and reattaching the new blade. Seems to work perfectly; looks oem. Picture provided for the model it was installed in.

SOLVED: Many of the problems and complaints of the lower reviews.
July 21 2023. Five starts so far, if the blade's bearings go, I WILL come back update.I read a lot of reviews - I love Amazon's reviewers and system as if I read enough I usually know what I'm in for especially lower reviews and their complaints. Scanning this product, several mentioned the blade assembly didn't fit right, or was off balance, or leaked. A few said bearings went too soon.Pic 1 - Old blade and new blade. They look identical, though the newer blade's metal is definitely cheaper.Pic 2- I should have showed the whole wrench, it did an awesome job - I tried to turn the bottom lock ring without it and it was NOT worth the effort, 8 dollars well spent.Pic 3- Old assembly fits hole with NO gaps.Pic 4- New assembly has small gap, so the manufacturer dimensions are off by a millimeter.Pic 5- Location under the rubber protector, at the back side, where I had to drill with a 5/32 bit.Pic 6- White rubber stopper removed. Hole drilled.Complaint (from Reviewers) 1: blade assembly didn't fit. I suspect these people didn't have a 5200 model. Ours was 2009, Super 5200. But it didn't work right the first time I put it in.Complaint 2: It didn't work right. This is a precision machine and the placement matters. The first time I seated it we spun water and it didn't sound or look right at all, vibrations galore. I removed the assembly and this time could see that it seemed to fit better one way (there are two flat spots you match to the carafe) so I tried again, and it was better but not perfect. 3rd try I had to take the lock nut off, with the wrench and examine the threads on the nut and there was some gunk, so I cleaned out the threads with a jeweler screw driver and then sprayed a little lubricant (silicon). It could have been that or the third tightening that finally did it but it spins like new now.NOTES: You get a replacement female end as well, which goes on your machine. It was a bear - learn from my mistakes. 1. Once you lift the cover and remove the plug you can use the hex wrench to loosen the screw but for our old machine, the screw head as a bit bigger than then hole and this old screw was shorter so when it released I just pulled the old female end out and the screw went flying! Careful. 2. Putting it back together the new screw didn't fit through the old hole and while fiddling at first I actually dropped it into the machine. Luckily, there's just four screws (where to four corners of the rubber protector are, you can miss them) and I pulled off just the knob on the front and the top of the Vitamix separated easily, WHEW. 3) After drilling a first hole, I tried to use the shorter, smaller screw which didn't tighten enough and that was not good. It came apart while testing and started chewing black plastic, my bad. I drilled bigger 5/32 and used the longer CORRECT screw and it worked perfectly, go figure.Hope this helps someone else!
