The media could not be loaded. Fits great in your hand. The quality of the plastic feels robust. The unit comes with a 6F22 9V battery that fits snug in the unit. The color led screen feels great to look at and works by pressing the button on the grip. Change the temperature unit easily and turn on the infrared light on or off by the press of a button. Pretty straightforward and easy to use thermometer, exactly what I needed. Read the manual before use so you know what distance to hold the unit for the most accurate readings and on what surface or medium you are using the unit for. All the variables may influence the temperature reading. Pricewise this a great unit, definitely worth it!

I received my infrared thermometer gun a couple of days ago. This thing is very cool. Easy setup, it came in Celsius but was easy to change to Fahrenheit. The instructions were good too but really didn't need them. I've taken temperatures of a lot of things in my house. This weekend I plan to use use it during my beer brewing ay and checking mash temperature. This will definitely be useful in my brew room. I'm also planning on finding all the cold areas in my house with it so I can insulate better. In addition to being useful for brewing, I also used it to verify my charcoal BBQ. This way I know if I need to close or open the vents. Very nice! Overall a very awesome and useful device.

I bought this thermometer to use in my bearded dragon's enclosure to check her basking temp. It works great, automatically turns on battery saver mode, and is easy for anyone to use.

Have only been trying it out for a few days, but I'm quite pleased with this purchase, especially for the cost. I bought it partly to help with cooking - I've seen them used on a few channels on YouTube for reading pan temps among other things. Many people claim the accuracy of these types of thermometers is poor, but I think it's because they don't understand how they work. You can't just aim it at any given thing and get an accurate reading. The good thing is that despite its lower price, this one has adjustable emissivity - so you can compensate for different types of materials. I've done a few temps comparing the readings with other thermometers, and it seems accurate enough so far. The screen is quite bright. I've also found the fit and finish good enough.

When I purchased this thermometer, I did so under the premise that I was purchasing a product that I would only use for grilling and smoking. I have had two cooks, and both times, the temperature was on point. Before I review a product, I always want to have more than one use. In this case, during both cooks, I used this thermometer several times.What caught my attention wasn’t so much how accurate it was, but instead how easy it was to use and how clear the screen was. I am adding a photo of thermometer so that folks can appreciate the screen color and look.The price point is good, accurate and clear screen. This was a winner for me.

I've tested this with a few surfaces in the kitchen. The accuracy is good. The unit is light weight. The screen is high contract for visual clarity.If ship a battery, it is have enough power for at least the first month of use.

So you can see my original view below. Well, I didn't realize that this unit was adjustable. I adjusted the emissivity and the unit then preformed accurately.After using this a few weeks in a horticulture environment, I began to question its accuracy. By performing a simple icewater test (fill a glass with ice, put in enough water to reach the top of the ice, let sit for a couple of minutes and then shoot the temp from directly above the glass from about 3 inches), the readout on the product was about 6 degrees F lower than the actual icewater temp, which should have been 32.x.
