Very low SWR reading, no heat so far with 50w testing at 146.520, will likely purchase again if needed and would recommend.

Add thermal joint compound for better results
I like the device but opened it up with a flat 14 mm bicycle wrench and found no thermal paste inside to transfer the heat from the resistor to the cooling fins s. So I filled the cavity with thermal paste as used on CPU coolers and now I am more confident to use this at it's rated power safely.

Works for me
I don't know what happened to my original dummy load I've had for nearly fifty years, but when it turned up missing one day, I searched out and ordered this one. I'm pleased with it. It's very useful for bench-checking radios for both power out and modulation levels. Anybody who messes around with transmitters needs one of these in the appropriate power range.
