It's a beautiful desk and is true to the pictures - Assembly is a COMMITMENT
I bought this desk because I am working from home and need a lot of space for these monitors, which are each 20 inches, for the perspective. I am very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend this desk. Here is my feedback:PROS:- The finish is very pretty. I got the Harvest Cherry. It's not "wood", don't expect wood and you won't be disappointed.. this is particle board that has a finish, but it's a nice finish. You do want to be careful not to chip or scratch it, but it's not made of glass. I am honestly glad it is not real wood because this desk is very heavy already.- It has enough space to hold everything I need it to hold. Two 20-inch monitors, two laptops, some odds and ends, keyboard, mouse, etc. One of the sides is a little bit wider than the other (the side with the cabinet), just an FYI. The cabinet can fit a standing CPU or you can use it for whatever.- It's not too big and not too small for a space... It's a good-sized desk to have to sit at all day.- It looks exactly as advertised. No surprises.- I thought the glass in the cabinet looked a little cheesy in the advertisement but I wanted the desk anyway; in actuality the cabinet is pretty nice. I thought there were colored bars in the glass in the picture but it's actually just how they cut/designed the glass itself and that's how it looks when it's photographed. The quality is nice.CONS:- Okay, let's talk about this assembly -- there are 31 steps and some of them have these mini-steps. It WILL. take. A GOOD FEW HOURS. (Like maybe 4 hours) ... Do not underestimate this. It is not terribly difficult, you don't need to be a rocket scientist, but this is not a walk in the park. You CAN do it using only a screwdriver but my hand is in paaain now; a power screwdriver might really help as some other reviews have said. You have to screw in like 300 THINGS. :O D: The finished product is worth it though. My hand needs a spa day now but I am chilling at my nice new pretty desk lol. --- I did have to take a break and come back to it...- Guys, seriously, it's a whole carpentry project. You will need a screwdriver, a hammer, and some wood glue. The wood glue is for the dowels but the finished assembly will not be "relying" on the glue as it will be held in by other pieces; it's just very good measure and helps a lot during the process. I thought about it after-the-fact and would really not recommend skipping the glue, avoid the temptation if you don't have any and go get some lol. Be careful not to lose these little nails, it comes with the exact amount of things you need and it's a LOT of little screws and metal pieces. The good thing is the instructions are not hard to follow at all, everything is clearly labeled .... make sure you look closely at the drawings and pay attention when it says "finished side up" etc so you know your pieces are in the right orientation. On two steps it will direct you to watch a video to help, which is nice.- This phone holder shelf thing is kind of pointless. It would have been better if it were a real shelf... it won't fit many people's phones and I think it will be more convenient just to charge my phone and not have to string all these cords through to that part. But I don't mind it, it's not bothersome to me, it doesn't look ugly... I just doubt anyone is really using that feature. Maybe I'll just put my phone in it to prevent losing it. *shrug* So the desk has a little quirk. Probably everyone who ever sees your desk will be like "what's this part for" and you'll be like "I am not really sure" ..- You CAN put it together yourself, but it would be WAY. EASIER. with a helper (and the instructions say that you need one on four or five steps). If you do it yourself, you will have to use some boxes or something to hold parts up at times. I really do not recommend putting it together by yourself unless you have to. . ... Particularly the step where you put the big heavy slab on top and you need to make sure 22 bolts line up with 22 holes omg... I was SWEATING. (I am a 5' 3" woman, for the perspective... maybe if you're a big strappy dude it won't be a problem)... CAN it be done alone? Yes. But it's not made to be put together alone so please be careful not to hurt yourself. If you are strong enough to lift and install one of those older heavy window air conditioning units on your own, you can probably do this. If you are not, don't even try this, please get a friend; with a buddy it's probably a piece of cake. All in all, I REALLY like this desk. It was worth the assembly and the time. I am very happy with it.

Beautiful Desk Combo
I live in an apartment and have a home business so I needed a lot more office space put into an already cramped area. I originally had a student type corner desk in the same spot with two end tables on either side holding my pc, printer and stacks of paperwork. After 2+ weeks of traveling to stores to physically see and measure the desks I could find I decided to go with the Bush Cabot L-shape desk along with the matching hutch from Amazon. I have owned it for a little over a month as of the writing of this review and have used it every day. I’m going to try and address the issues/questions I’ve read in other reviews. This is a mass-produced particle/press board furniture product, not solid wood and not hand crafted. If you have never owned or assembled this type of furniture take notes, the following goes for any furniture of this type.1. Read the instructions from cover to cover before doing anything, then read them again and make sure all the parts/hardware are included.2. It WILL scratch easily. The wood finish is more or less wall paper glued to the particle board. I even scratched mine due to impatience while hooking up my monitor (which is rather large and barely fit in the hutch opening-see pic). But since finishing the assembly I have had no scratches, I even use one of my mouses on the desk without a pad. I used a sharpie to cover it nicely.3. Mass produced by machinery, not hand. This means that some of the holes may be slightly off, or not completely pre-drilled. It is a relatively soft wood product so lining up and “persuading” a screw to go where it is needed is easy. DO NOT use power tools to assemble, it is not necessary and any slips or over torquing WILL damage your furniture possibly to the point of no repair.4. Buy a small bottle of wood glue to use everywhere a dowel is needed to add some stability. Most of this “assembly needed” furniture includes a small bottle in the packaging but this desk/hutch did not. You can find it at just about any store for less than $5 and it is worth it.5. The wire management consists of a hook inside the pc cabinet and the USB port, not much else. There is a gap between the hutch backing and the desk that allows wires to be fed through, not very pretty but easy enough to manage with some wire ties, time and patience. (I plan on doing that one day…)6. The phone charging tray/cubby is close to useless as most phones will only fit laying on their side and the “shelf” used to hold the charging tray is only 4.5” deep leaving it useless as anything else. (see pic) Also, the “tray” is felt covered and slides around, some two-sided tape or Velcro helps. It does work nicely on the desktop or on another table though. These things said, this is a beautiful desk/hutch combo for the price and it has plenty of storage and workspace. I have a printer, laptop, speakers, 27” monitor and pc tower all on the desktop with plenty of room to use each. (Yes, there is a space for the tower behind a beautiful glass inlaid door but I have a gaming pc that needs to be seen and not tucked away) My dog even has a bed underneath and I still fit fine. The construction is sturdy (especially after using the wood glue) and I am very happy with my decision to buy this combo. I ordered both the desk and hutch together and got a small discount from Amazon for doing so. Hope this helps.

Great Desk for Price
I purchased this desk recently for ~$240 at the time of writing and wanted to share a couple thoughts about it. This desk is actually quite nice and appears as it is presented on the product page. It does take a while to setup and build and will require some tools of your own to assemble. We used a hammer, a drill, and a few screwdrivers. It would also be useful to have someone to help you build it as a few pieces like the end drawers on the desk and the back support boards would be difficult to assemble by yourself. Overall the desk is nice and is a very solid desk which has no give despite the two top sections being connected by brackets. My two biggest complaints about this desk are that we ended up short two screws for the desk that are needed for one of the door hinges and during the shipping the boxes for this desk were handled very roughly which resulted in several of the larger parts of the desk being scratched or chipped around the edges and a couple of the corners being squished. Two of the drawer sides labeled (R) had parts broken or cracked as well. These minor points, which are at least partially, not the fault of the product itself are what made me rate this a 4 out of 5. Overall I am happy with the purchase but I am annoyed at how roughly handled the product was during shipping and I am disappointed that it was missing a few parts though I imagine it is nothing I can not find at a local hardware store to finish the desk.My only other thought on the desk is the back coverings do not have any guide holes on the corner drawers and have very small screw heads so be prepared to deal with that if you want to make sure the corner drawers are enclosed.

Absolutely Fantastic Desk!
I bought this desk and the hutch together, and couldn't be happier! It was somewhat frustrating to assemble, but eventually I figured it out. I laid out all the parts and screws and was organized before I began. You almost can't believe all those bolts, screws and pieces will fit together, but they do brilliantly. The instructions really could use some writing to make it more clear, rather than just little drawings. But in the end it all fit perfectly, everything aligns exactly and it's so sturdy and solid and I know it will last me many, many years. I've had it a month now and not one scratch or ding, so I don't know what people are talking about who say it scratches easily. I read every single review before buying and I was nervous by some of the negative ones. There is not one negative thing I can say about this desk, or the hutch. Oh wait...the one thing I would change is the little "charging station"...I'd much rather have a little drawer there because I don't even use that section. It's too bad because that space would be ideal to put pencils and other small items. Other than that, it's perfect!Edited: 2 years after I purchased this desk and hutch, I still love it. Not a single scratch or imperfection, and I sit at it all day long. The hutch is still sturdy with no bend at all. It is an extraordinary desk and hutch!
