Q: What length rod dioes it cover?

About a 3' rod length. I like these because they are clear and have ties which can secure the cover to the rod. Slit makes clothes easily accessible.

Q: These are for individual items??? I'm looking for covers that will include about 6 items- not sure what this is???

Not for individual items. It is exactly how the pictures show - the cover will "span" across a few (more than 6 for sure) clothing items.

Q: Does the top center portion have a opening for bracket that hold the rod? My closet rod was exactly like what the picture shows with a central bracket

One side is in 2 pieces - I use that to open and select a garment. But conceivably you could put that side to the back around your bracket and lift up slightly to select a garment from the front. Hope this helps.

Q: Is this only 18 inches deep? My closet clothes are a bit deeper .. does the cover squash things? I assume it cannot be used for coats?

It doesn’t squash clothing. You could use them for coats, just remember the thicker the garment the more room is taken up, and also these will not work on closet hangers that are not rods.
