These rivets do work.
I have started making quilted bags and needed rivets to strengthen the handles. The reviews for the product were not brilliant but I thought I would give it a go. I have learned that the trick is to get the top rivet hammered onto the shaft rivet with a straight first blow of the hammer! People have said that the rivets crumple and some of mine did but I realise that this was when I did not get the hammer blows straight. I think this would be the same issue no matter where you sourced the rivets from. I did improve with practice. For me, it was really important to get the shaft rivet carefully positioned in the round 'stone' then use the long tube, the right way up, and hammer it straight. It took some confidence but the outcome was great when I got it right.

Very smart
I got these because I am hopeless with rivets. A really good alternative and quite classy. Dropped a star because one of them was cross threaded during manufacture so didn't work

Simple to use.
These were great for mending the leather straps on a tote bag where the original rivets weren’t properly fixed. These just screw together so no special tools needed.
