Easy setup/clean-up, daughter LOVES it and can't wait to use again!
I bought this product because, well, quarantine. Thought it would be a fun activity for my 10 year old to create and then bust apart. Putting this together was super simple since she got to design where the dinosaurs and plants were by herself. She spent a solid 20 minutes delicately placing each dino and plant exactly where she wanted it.I assisted getting it to the freezer, and that is a DELICATE process but TOTALLY worth it. I have to say I really recommend using a two hand approach vs a single hand approach getting it in (we have a vertical freezer). Using the handles help, but don't fill it all the way to the top-leave some room for splashes and wiggles-or maybe that's just me. We left it overnight, almost 12 full hours, and it was completely frozen. Probably could have been pulled out much sooner.Time for smashing and blasting! We didn't quite expect the radius of the ice shrapnel, but figured out quick we needed a good few feet in each direction. Glasses are a MUST! My daughter had an absolute blast breaking and smashing this apart. Each dinosaur had solidified with the ice so well that it took about 45-60 minutes to bust them all apart, free and clear of all ice.So much fun, only a small water mess (even inside), and unlimited uses. My daughter even thought it would be cool to use it for a jello mold with the dinos some night! We will see!
