iPad Pro becomes a MacBook Pro - almost
The Brydge Pro is the keyboard that will give you the option of making your iPad Pro feel like a laptop. The aluminum case is absolutely solid, and the key wiggle is no worse than any decent laptop on the market. It may not be MacBook solid - but it's really close. It also beats Apple's lineup of keyboards in two key areas. First, this has the solid feel of folding up a laptop, whereas all of Apple's keyboards (including the top of the line Magic Keyboard) are folio style casings. Second - and possibly more important - there is a set of function keys at the top of the keyboard. This lets you control screen brightness, volume, media controls, etc. - AND it gives a Home button, which allows to to quickly go back to your home screen without needing to touch the screen. Really, the only advantage the Magic Keyboard seems to offer over the Brydge Pro is the ability for it act as the charging device for itself and the iPad simultaneously, while freeing up the USB-C port on the iPad for other devices. The only potential drawback is weight. This is a solid keyboard with an aluminum back. It simply weighs more than the folio style keyboards available from Apple or Logitech. It will weight the same as a 13" MacBook Pro. But, maybe it should - because it winds up feeling like a MacBook Pro!Admittedly, you are not going to get all the functions of a full MacBook on an iPad Pro - but, you aren't going to get the touchscreen and tablet characteristics on a MacBook. You can always slide the iPad out of the keyboard (and it is very easy to do this) in order to simply use the iPad as a tablet. But, for the times where you want your iPad to resemble a MacBook as much as possible considering it's running iOS rather than macOS, then the Brydge is really your best option. While Brydge also offers a Pro+ with a trackpad, the iPad Pro is compatible with a Bluetooth mouse. Depending on your preferences- you may want to buy the Pro+. For those who prefer to use a mouse anyway, there may be no need to pay the extra for the + model.

The Best Keyboard You Can Attach to an iPad
The Brydge Pro is the best keyboard that you can attach to an iPad. Its materials feel sturdy and high-quality. The space gray color match is great. It attaches and detaches easily to the iPad’s edges, holding it at an incredibly wide range of viewing angles. I used both the Brydge and Apple’s Smart Keyboard Folio for a few weeks to compare them and the Brydge won for its typing experience and for lap use. The Brydge is heavier than the Smart Keyboard Folio and uses bluetooth, both small disadvantages. But the Brydge also wins for its special function buttons, backlighting and viewing angles. The keyboard is heavy because it has to counterbalance the iPad’s weight, but it’s no worse than the weight of a MacBook Pro in your backpack. The typing experience is worth the weight. The keys are punchy and have a nice sound. Your experience will depend on your typing preferences but it’s very close to my 2012 MBP, which is a big plus for me. The layout is comfortable with plenty of spacing between keys and a nice amount of travel. The inclusion of the Siri and home (in place of Esc) buttons are more useful than I’d expected. I’m thankful hundreds of times a day when I’m using the inverted-T arrow keys. The bluetooth connection is flawless; I never experience missed or duplicated letters when I’m typing. The keyboard reconnects within a second when I turn it on, and has an auto-sleep function that means I can frequently forget to turn it off and not worry about being surprised by a dead battery. Compared to a MBP, the backlighting is uneven in the way it shines though the key caps. However, it’s bright and effective and the three levels of brightness are useful. When it’s closed, two small pieces of rubber keep the iPad’s screen separated from the keys. After some use, they might leave smudges on the iPad’s glass (mostly the bezels, not the screen). But it’s easily wiped off and nothing to worry about. (Admit it, your iPad’s screen is a mess of fingerprints anyway.)You can carefully pull the iPad out of the clips or reattach it in a few seconds—no bulky case, no bending a hard plastic shell or snapping a series of clips into place. The Brydge Pro lets the iPad be an iPad until you want to start writing—then, it becomes a touchscreen laptop that looks great and performs perfectly.

Gracias
