Q: Is the fabric sheer because I need to use it as a skirt.

No, this fabric is not sheer. It is regular weight woven cotton. You can use it to make a skirt, but it is not sheer.

Q: is this item black or teal? the description says both.

This is definitely black. True solid dark black. It did not run when I washed it. I made a mask with this black on one side and white on the other side and it came out perfectly fine. I checked back on my order. It also listed “teal” in the title. Maybe a typo? But for sure, it is pure black. Can’t go wrong with Robert Kaufman fabric.

Q: What is the weight of this fabric?

It is quilting weight (not decorator weight) and weighs 6 oz per yard thanks Laura Over the Rainbow

Q: how many yards are in a package??

I'm not completely sure. I used the option to order by the yard so that I could be sure of the measurement. The fabric is very nice.
