I love working with Caron Simply Soft because it is so very soft. For a while I would have occasional problems with it splitting but then I watched a YouTube video by a blogger who tests crochet patterns. In the video she stated that "there is no such thing as splitty yarn". This grabbed my attention because at the time I was working with a bamboo yarn that seemed to want to split constantly. The blogger went on to say that if you are having problems with yarn splitting you need to change your tool (hook). I had been using an offset hook and switched to an inline hook. Voila! My issue was resolved. So when I returned to my Simply Soft project I did the same thing and it worked. I essentially have sets of both types of hooks so if one doesn't work I try another and I've not had splitty yarn problems since!Now, that the splitting issue has been resolved I must have about 20 projects in the queue that will use this yarn and I already have most of the yarn purchased. You know how it is, you find a yarn you love to work with and you want some of every color!

I was trying to match a yarn I’d previously purchased. This one is a shade or two darker and not quite as soft. I will use it to finish my project because I cannot “go Shopping” in this crazy Covid world just now, to find a better match. I think it will be fine in the end. I am thankful that it matches as closely as it does and I can finish my scarf as planned....update: I decided to make my gift in three shades, so this turned out to be perfect for the second shade. AND I have more than enough left to make a second scarf when combined with the rockstar white, which I had already purchased on Amazon. Beautiful!

It was fine. It was not quite the shade I needed, but I donated it to ladies making baby hats. Since I am also making Items to donate, I would prefer a lower price. I would however pay this for a more chartreuse shade...making Baby Yoda toys.

I love this yarn and the color Pagoda is so pretty. It's the exact color that's shown in the toboggan photo, very nice color, I love it. I only ordered 1 skein to see if I liked it, I'm ordering more now, I want to make a throw to place on the back of my sofa. Sometimes the colors in the photo's are not what you get, in this case it is.

Best yarn ever. I know it's acrylic and that's not "cool," but this stuff knits up really well. It is very, very soft. Some yarns irritate my skin when knitting for a long time, but this never does. It is machine washable and dryable. The baby blanket I made from this yarn has been through the wash many times and still looks new. It doesn't seem to get damaged, shrink, or get crackly after being put in the dryer. One con: if you are not careful sharp needles do split the yarn when knitting (so you only knit half the strand). You do have to pay a little more attention. Bamboo needles have fixed that problem for me though.
