So darn good!
Sandra Scaoppettone knows how to capture 1940s whodunnits with wit, suspense, and fun. Faye Quick is a wise-cracking sharpshooter and her secretary Birdie is a hoot too! She always gets her killer. As a native New Yorker, who remembers some of the locations the author mentions, it warms my heart, especially when she includes locations that are no longer around. So much fun to read!

A fun and engaging read
I really enjoyed this book. I'm a fan of period novels and it's great to find a series that takes place during the forties. The story is fast-paced. Faye Quick and the rest of the characters are colorful and engaging. I hope that there are more Quick novels to come.

Love this audiobook!
This book is set back in the 1940's and the narrator has the lingo and manner of speaking down exactly. The story line is great. My only complaint is that there are only 2 books in this series. The combination of narrator and story have me wishing there were more.
