It may (only) be a small pan handle,but this is a great item.I have Zebra cooking pots,mess tins and various pans for using when 'out in the woods' and this is really is very,very useful.It easily takes the weight of,and fits all my pans and cups.I was going to buy one of the cheaper ones but I'm very glad I got this instead. Essential part of bushcraft kit.I've tested it on 2 litre canteens of water,and it easily and effortlessly attaches (and sits on the edge of the pan/pot) when using them,and holds them firmly when I'm pouring.No more burnt fingers for me,I hope!If you camp/use pots and pans,or even if you have a pot that needs a handle,I'd highly recommend the Trangia pan handle,and yes,it fits everything I've tried it on.Totally lightweight but sturdy.Buy one!

After reading other reviews I was already prepared for the poor quality finish. The edges of the metal are indeed sharp and did need attention before use. I used sand paper to round the sharp edges off and am now extremely please with the result. This is a very cheap item so to complain about the poor quality finish is a little bit unfair.Especially when it is so easy to resolve yourself. However I can see how this would be annoying if you weren’t prepared for it.

It does its job admirably, however the finish was disappointing. I spent a while filing off the sharp edges from the stampings. Trangia has a good reputation for quality equipment, and while the handle performs well the sharp edges were razor sharp, very likely to cause injury, not something I expected from Trangia.

I'm a wild camper/hiker and weight is what I have to watch out for. I decided the rubber coated handles on my lixada pots were an excess weight I didnt need, but obviously I needed something to lift the pots off my little wood burning stove so I tried the Trangia handle and it's perfect, it's also alot lighter then the handles from my 2 pans when I weighed them. When your long distance hiking every little bit of weight counts. Easy to use, well made and definitely money well spent.

An almost indispensable tool when mucking about with hot metal, this simple hand tool grips a wide variety of utensils very firmly and most importantly safely with its firm vice like grip. It may seem expensive for what it is, but when you purchase an item from an established company whose expertise in the field of bushcraft is world renowned, you can be assured at the very least, its well made and fit for purpose.
