If you're looking to buy this item for your children to play with you don't have the right item. This is for a prop or a costume use only. It states clearly on the package that it is a costume item and not for play. So, if that's what you need it for, this product is great. It looks great, has good weight to it and is perfect for any costume or photo prop. It is not made to withstand children playing with it. If that is what you need you're better off getting the dollar store versions that won't break the bank when your kids break it.

If you want a plastic "dollar store" light saber for $11 more dollars than you would pay for at an actual dollar store, this would be the one to buy! It comes with cheap poorly molded plastic, a very dim light, incorrectly cut colored blade, and it will shatter upon a 3 foot drop to a tiled floor!!!Yes, this thing is a piece of S***-ake Mushroom.1) the plastic is very brittle2) the 2 AA batteries (brand new and sold separately) do not power up the dim very low lumen light bulb (honestly, a birthday candle was brighter)3) the saber part was missing a hole for the final piece of the light saber. There was literally a piece inside the blade itself that couldn't extend because of a lack of exit points for it to extend to.4) Average height of kids that this thing is normally purchased for, 4 ft. Dropping it from anywhere between 3-4 feet will result in the brittle plastic breaking or shattering.

I am very happy with this toy. the price point was perfect. It is just being used for a Star Wars display for my son. It is not a collectible type quality, but is perfect if being used for a toy or costume. It lights up nicely as well. I am very happy with it for the price.

I know this is a budget saber and it has some decent details and even a d-ring but it barely lights up and the switch on mine was installed crooked and was hard to turn off. Just be aware of what you're getting I think $15 is more the price range for this.

Nice model and cool lights but it broke from just me swinging it through the air without hitting anything. It served its purpose for Halloween but its very disappointing it didn't last. These are hard to find.

They broke within the next day. The first day I put battery in the cap broke off. My kids played with it kne time and the parts broke.

Taking it out of the package I found the quality to be quite poor. Before it had even seen any use there were already scratches on base of the light saber and portions were the paint bled over into other parts.I popped two AA batteries in and it did work fine. I appreciated that it took common AA instead of something more obscure. Deploying and stowing the light saber beam portion is easy but not automatic. A small latch keeps the beam locked into the saber. This is something that needs to be moved every time you want to deploy it. After attending her first Halloween event the top of the base has started to come off.The quality of this item is so poor that it barely functions as a costume accessory. At this point I'll count myself lucky if it holds out until Halloween.

My 5 year old is horrible about taking medicine. So we had a picture of this with a Luke Skywalker costume showing him the reward for completing his medicine over the next 2 weeks. Every spoonful he took was marked working up to getting the costume. Each spoonful went down easier than the last. This worked so well that by the end of the two weeks he could almost get the medicine for himself. And, the sword was a big hit. He played with it while wearing the Luke costume for the next 3 days non stop.

Unfortunately this item arrived broken , and was returned and refunded, with no problem. Did not reorder as I felt it was rather flimsy.
