I am not convinced this is an original Bell and Howell product. The Lens has multiple imperfections and is dirty. The Packaging is NOT as shown in the product picture and comes in a small plain cardboard box. It is my opinion this is probably a Knock Off. It's Bright, but in my opinion it is either a Knock Off or bad Seconds. Disappointed as these were intended as Gifts. If is is in fact a Bell and Howell product, their products have gone from Top Rate down to Bottom of the Line.

Terrible product. I want my money back. Came in a white, nameless box with not instructions and even my 4 year old said “mommy this is a bad flashlight”. This is some sort of scam and I think people selling this garbage online should think twice about associating with Amazon Prime customers who are used to quality, not broken toys with zero workability.

UPDATE: Aug. 2018 This WAS a good flashlight. After less than 2 dozen uses (each with very short duration), the button doesn't work no matter how many times we've taken it apart and changed the batteries. I think it's the connectors, but nothing has worked. A real shame - it was great when it worked for the few times we used it.*Also, wanted to contact Amazon to let them know how poor item was, and doesn't seem to be a way to do that.(Previous, 4 STARS)Super strong light that you can see from far away. Very sturdy & great compact size. The different modes would be useful as a hazard light, etc. Really great item to keep in the car or bedside (in case of power outage).I have to mention the first one received had a faulty lens, but vendor sent replacement - no problems at all.

Ok so I'm back changing my review and rating from 4/5 to 1/5. Why? Well, this flashlight is supposed to be water proof. I dropped it in a puddle that was barely 2 inches deep, and the flashlight turned off immediately once it fell in. Thought maybe the button was struck upon impact. I was wrong. When I tried to turn it back on it didn't work so I brought it indoors and unscrewed the bottom to check the batteries and a bunch of water and mud poured out. Water AND mud. A little bit of water I may have accepted that but how the hell did mud get into a supposedly water proof flashlight. All seals are present as far as I can tell. This flashlight does not turn on anymore even after drying for 3 days.__________previous review:Its not as bright as the flashlight i bought at the dollar store so that was a let down. Energizers only last about 5 minutes in this thing as well, but the duracells i bought have been going strong for over a week even after i forgot to turn it off one night. The energizers i bought may have been faulty, no idea.

No it didn't meet my expectations, because they sent me some other cheap flashlights which were not Bell and Howell along with 6 packages of old corroded batteries that didn't have any battery life. What a total disappointment.
