Fantastic colors in the daylight
I'm a beginner film user, so take this with a grain of salt. [Shot with a Nikon F3, no power motor] I bought Portra 800 for my sister's bachelorette weekend at the beach, hearing fantastic things about skin tones. I was extremely impressed with the quality of color in the day! However, this wasn't a fantastic film for more dim scenes, with a lot of grain and greenish tones introduced to the picture. So, if you're looking to shoot an outdoor wedding, this is great. If you're looking for something to shoot in the dark, and use a manual like myself, maybe not the strongest bet.

Eye opening
This was the first time I shot this film. All I can say is that I really loved it. It handled really well in low light and I really liked the tones and grain that the film produced. It was definitely different than the other Kodak films I’ve shot.

Lacks sharpness
From my experience shooting this film both in both 35mm and 120 formats, I have to say l that the 35mm version of Portra 800 lacks the sharpness and clarity seen in the 120 version. Obviously that has a lot to do with the different formats, however I've gotten better results overall from pushing Portra 400 a stop, than I have with Portra 800 35mm.

I love this film!
I use this film as my default film stock. I shoot it at 400 ISO, and it handles the extra light beautifully, giving me slightly more saturated images. Never had an issue ordering from Amazon, always get good rolls that have descent expiration dates.
