We have a 10 month old Black Lab, so I bought this book for my Husband, who is enjoying it immensely It is a really great read for anyone who owns a Lab. He keeps reading chunks of it out loud and so we are having great fun comparing notes. Great, easy and very interesting read.I love the way he says Labrador's are not pet's they are companions and certainly should be part of the family. Ben Fogle is certainly an accomplished writer. Thoroughly recommend. 10 stars if possible.I also bought Ben's book on the history of the Land Rover and he enjoyed that immensely also.I am so pleased I purchased this book.

A wonderful book full of the known history of this wonderful breed of dog. Added into it the journey Ben took with his beautiful fluffball 'Inca' which I related to in so many ways with my own flufball 'Spooky'. On the remote chance of Ben ever reading this review 'thank you mate, very informative and very moving with regard to your life with Inca, I relate so much to it and it made me both laugh and cry. If your a Lab lover you will enjoy this book.

Having just got a labrador puppy we have both now read the book and thought it was a great insight into owning a labrador. We wish we could get the dog to read it also.

Perfect for us, owning a Labrador Retriever and anyone interested in dogs/Ben Fogle and his family. Lots of facts and charming pictures. A keepsake book. From reading this I purchased the children's book Madeline, from Amazon, another delightful book.
