All first time parents should buy this book!
I will very rarely write a review on amazon, but I feel I have to with this book. This book literally saved my husband and I as first time parents! I will recommend this to anyone who is pregnant or wants to be a parent. Our beautiful daughter arrived and turned our world upside down, we had no clue what we were doing. The advise in the happiest baby made us feel we weren't crazy, bad parents, or had some miserable baby. The tips given work, and our baby is thriving and sleeping and most importantly quick to calm.I will be buying the happiest toddler book that is for certain!

TL,DR: Swaddle your baby!
This book is fine, but let me tell you what it says: you should swaddle your baby to help them sleep longer at night. You don't need to read all the studies or reasoning behind why, which is half the book. The other half of the book is that you should also rock your baby, make shushing sounds/use white noise, and try holding them on their side or stomach, which I feel like are things that most parents do anyway. Save your money and just start swaddling overnight, it will change your life!

Better read about the method online
The whole book could have been replaced by one page summary! Its full of a very detailed information that wasn’t interesting for me. I believe the method works it just you don’t need a book to implement it.

Ok but repetitive
I started this book and soon got bored of the repetitive information. I understand a lot of time has gone into the research of causes of colic and suggestions for calming fussy babies but I felt there was a lot of repetitive information around it. There was no need for that many chapters repeating the same information on ways to calm your baby.

Very "one size fits all"
It's a very nice book with very nice ideas. I find though that all babies will do this and all babies enjoy that. I've found better advice from other professionals who have a more flexible approach.
