And it got to the point where he said - If you don’t like how I am talking and it’s Making you mad ...
I got a few pages in and threw it away. I am all about loving yourself and respecting yourself. This book is the opposite. He kept talking about appetite calling it the inner piggie, or something. It’s so rude. And it got to the point where he said -If you don’t like how I am talking and it’sMaking you mad -Put the book down.So I did, right in the trash. Just a reminder - loveYourself radically. Be kind to yourself.

Brilliant book that really makes you think and makes so much sense!
This book is a revelation. As someone who has pretty much struggled with their weight their whole adult life, but more seriously since having children, I’d reached the point where I’d tried so many diets, I knew ‘how’ to eat healthily and lose weight, I just seemed to lack the willpower to see it through. I was totally demotivated and figured I was pretty much a failure. After reading this book, which focuses on how we think about food, and gives you strategies to deal with your impulses (it sounds slightly off the wall - our internal Pig - but makes so much sense when you really think about it) I feel more confident than I’ve ever felt that I can finally deal with my weight problem. Glen Livingston doesn’t pull any punches, he tells it like it is. We overeat because we choose to overeat. But he gives you tools to deal with this, and to stop yourself from making those bad choices. It totally makes sense! For someone who likes structure, and rules to follow (which you make yourself - nobody is telling you what to do here), this made so much sense to me.I would recommend this book to everyone who has ever felt utterly demotivated when it comes to their weight, and who thinks they just don’t have the willpower. Great book.

Don't hesitate to buy this.
I bought this a year ago and I have to say after trying a multitude of ways to stop my binge eating - this is THE solution that has actually worked. I was sceptical at first and it took me a while to get my head around it. I also signed up to the online coaching as I was desperate and it was worth every penny. I was in 12 steps, tried a top celebrity hynotherapist, every diet going, eating disorder clinic, psychologist and none of them had the effect that this had. I cannot recommend it enough.

Wow.
Wow.I got this because I struggle with binging and have an eating disorder and this has made me feel worse. It’s basically describing me or whoever else wants to read it as a pig and that we eat pig slop... what the .. I am quite shocked as I’ve seen a lot of good reviews but I wish I read the bad reviews too first before wasting my money on this book, honestly if you want to over come binging and over come anything food or weight related read “how to have your cake and your skinny jeans too” honestly no other book has helped me other than that one. Do not waste your time on this one..

Goes against the grain, great read
Great read! The premise of the book is all about self control. You create your own food boundary’s in the form of your own food plan deciding what you think you should and shouldn’t eat... no specific diets or fads etc. The author then says that eating anything outside of your created boundary is considered a binge. The author makes a clear point that binge food/ aka pig slop is different for each individual and specifically instructs us not to judge others because of our own boundaries. The author encourages you to view your cravings and desire for unhealthy food as a seperate entity... a pig. This pig is the carnal part of you that craves unhealthy food (much like an addict), these cravings cause you to binge creating food high that leaves you with guilt afterwards. This book is about silencing that carnal pig equipping you with ultimate control. The author doesn’t coddle you with “practice makes perfect”, “you should treat yourself” but instead instructs us to take control of what we consume, based on what weve decided and to never give up sticking to our boundaries if we do binge. Defo an effective book that goes against the grain and is really helpful if you read with an open mind.
