I could not get it to stick to the side of a cabinet to hold up a kitchen towel. It always fell off. I am not sure if you do attach it to a wall if it will stay on or can be removed.

It is already attached. You could just leave it though and don't remove the film covering the strip, and use your command hook instead to actually stick it.
