Hard plastic, feels like tight sunglasses
This is a hard plastic item, shaped like sunglasses. It appears to be sturdy. What I do not care for is that it has "corners" where the side handles meet the top part. It sticks out slightly and looks a little odd. I would like to have the "corners" more rounded, the match "head shape". It stays on and holds hair back. I will use this to hold my hair back to wash my face, but I would not use it in public.

Can wear all day
Absolutely love ❤️. Wish they offered it in white. I have a navy and black one with rhinestones, (I’ve had black one for several years and sadly 3 rhinestones have fallen out.) feels good and keeps hair out of eyes without pulling hair out. I comfortably wear with glasses. Wish they weren’t so expensive though.

Exactly as advertised, good design, sturdy construction
It doesn't bind or grab hair. It does fit squarely, like pushed up glasses. It folds. The plastic is thick. the stems are padded so it doesn't bind behind the ears. It fits a medium head, not a large or small one.

Small
To small. Hurt my head

It works!
To my surprise, this works in my medium length, somewhat thin hair. The inch-wide band has little teeth that control the hair but don’t hurt, and the flexible side arms don’t pinch. I wear it with both hearing aids and glasses - it sits slightly further back on my head than usual, but stays in place and is comfortable. Expensive for a hair band, but in my case worth it - it is the only one that I can tolerate for many hours.

Comfortable headband
This headband is so comfortable! The fit is great, not too tight on my head. It doesn’t pull your hair back tightly. Looks great! A little pricey but worth it. Will be getting more.

Well Made But Not Comfortable
This headband was well made and looks very nice but I found it to be uncomfortable behind my ears and cannot wear it for very long, plus it did not hold my hair back as well as pushed up glasses. It is meant to hold the hair back like pushed up glasses, but the fit was much looser than glasses.

Not as much pinching, but still a flawed design
I still can’t believe I spent over $18 on a plastic headband, but all things considered it will work I guess. (And at least I didn’t have to resort to buying a $50 so called “French” headband—I mean, really? Is it made of gold? Nope? Just regular plastic like all the others you say? Ok. Dumb.)Anyways, I agree with some of the other reviewers about this headband — the concept makes a lot of sense, it stays in place, and generally it doesn’t pinch behind the ears quite as much as every other plastic headband I’ve tried recently in a vain attempt to replace an ancient, perfectly fitting one that finally broke. I dropped a star though because of the price combined with the fact that the ear pieces are about an inch too long on both sides for any human. It’s really nice that the ends of these earpieces are at least kind of thought about (which is a big step up from most!); they’re a softer more pliable plastic, they’re somewhat adjustable and they’re flexible. Yet after much fiddling, and several trials I still had to strategically crack/cut/remelt each ear piece about an inch up from the end to make the headband actually comfortable and wearable for more than an hour. (Luckily because the ear pieces are made out of a flexible material, it was much easier to alter this headband than the others I tried!) If I’d have left the ear pieces unaltered though, I guarantee they would have put too much pressure behind my ears and caused a headache quickly because they reached down SO far! I don’t know what this company is using to guide their design specs, but two inches of extra length is very excessive, and it needs to be reevaluated I think. And here’s my little rant combined with details about a weird little experiment I did to support my plea to this designer/manufacturer/company to shorten the headband earpieces or at least offer a few length choices maybe: I just don’t get why the earpieces on every plastic headband are so long—I mean I think I actually have a longer, more oval shaped head compared to others, so you’d think this wouldn’t be a problem for me but it is. So I figured if it’s an annoying problem for me with my long head, I can only imagine it’s a problem for most others, right? So I measured this headband from ear piece tip to earpiece tip: 17”. Then I approached every adult person I could (over 40 people total!) and had them put the headband on. Then I had them measure their head from just behind their left ear where they thought the earpiece SHOULD comfortably rest, over the top of their head, to just behind their right ear where the other earpiece SHOULD comfortably rest without discomfort and pressing on nerves and tendons, etc. The collected measurements (from quite a diverse sample set with different hair textures, etc.) didn’t differ more than half an inch from each other; they all fell within 14.5” to 15” which is MUCH shorter than the length of this and all the other plastic headbands I tested. So I really want to know WHO exactly are these companies designing these plastic headbands for with such long ear pieces? Yetis? I really think this company has something unique to offer with this new headband design, which is why I am taking the time to write this long review. If you’re not willing to rework your design to a shorter, more human length, could you at least think about offering us some length/size options?Just a thought and a little request for consideration anyways so I don’t have to keep doing the redesigning for you upon purchase...
