on vacuum sealing and a lot more...
I am pleased at the quality of these Sous Vide bags. I am a vegetarian but was not always and I had difficulty the first several years since I was missing certain tastes until I figured out how to convert non-vegetarian recipes I liked into taste matching vegetarian ones. People naturally if they are not vegetarian are attracted to becoming one, (excepting vegans-who also do not eat vegetarian cheese nor any dairy products or eggs such as vegetarians do, vegans are not attracted to becoming vegetarian and I commend them for not even consuming any dairy or poultry eggs, but any who are still eating meat or fish/shellfish, etc. are even if they might not realize it at first, since eating a vegan or vegetarian diet is the ethical thing to do.) So when a person who is interested in becoming vegetarian but obviously is wondering if they will be able to still enjoy food and be vegetarian I like to make them a little vegetarian care package when I can fit it into my schedule, to encourage them about the taste alikes, and they will still be able to enjoy food, even if they love the taste of meat or fish, for example. These sorts of bags are great for that, for me to vacuum seal some food I made from one of my homemade taste alike vegetarian recipes that they can easily heat up and enjoy and be encouraged about becoming a vegetarian.I also use these bags to vacuum seal with my Foodsaver vacuum sealer and keep fresh my large bulk orders of grains and pancake mixes that I place every few years. I find this system of buying huge bags of grains, for example a 25-pound bag of barley, muesli, etc. is great for me and what I am comfortable with. This saves a lot of time, and obviously less packaging is also used so it reduces waste and is better for the environment. As a result we have much smaller regular grocery lists, less time is wasted checking how much of this and that is left each week-do we need to get more type of thing, since the large bulk grocery items we purchase are such frequently eaten foods, they are staples in our home larder. It is also great we have smaller regular grocery lists as there is less weight in groceries being carried by us from the grocery store each week since both of us sometimes have back issues though we are recovering from those, (his back issues are less than mine,) from extreme overwork in the past.It did take me some time to figure out the best way to plan for such large food purchases with my grocery budget. What I figured out to make it easier was I divided my bi-monthly grocery budget into two partitions. One we use to buy our regular groceries. The other food partition I have named FOOD RESERVES that I keep adding to and that is the one I buy my bulk vegetarian burgers and grains from, things like that. It takes me around two years to have enough funds in my Food Reserves fund to place one of my bulk grain orders. I find this system works best for me and my spouse especially since we are both vegetarians and have to order some foods online such as Carolines Fishless Tuna (made from soy,) etcetera.****A little about ME, JULIE SANDS. I am married, a vegetarian for ethical reasons, years ago I was not. I believe in kind logic, NOT GIGO as in wrong culture, tradition, programming, etc., etc. My ethics and behavior continually advance in kind logic thinking. Years ago I was not a kind logic thinker most of the time and was not even vegetarian back then. From a young age without parental prompting or assistance I did a huge amount of volunteer work, things like Girl Scouts, to visiting elderly near where I lived, to donating car rides, working various jobs in hospitals from as young as 13 to as old as 26 for no money and a lot more that would take to long to list, until my back got injured from overwork and I am just not physically able to do that sort of thing anymore, but I sure did a lot of that. I am an award winning screenwriter, actor, director, producer and filmmaker (I no longer even watch television nor films by the way, though I look forward to all kind logic types but am so busy I will probably only watch once in a while-I still write but now I write only kind logic projects not like the old short, television show or techno band I used to be in and was a songwriter/arranger in it,) and am THE ORIGINAL JULIE SANDS ON THE WEB. I registered my name, Julie Sands, with unions such as the Screen Actors Guild of which I am a member though I am no longer an active member by choice due to kind logic thinking, and on the internet, decades ago before there was another Julie Sands internet presence. Any other Julie Sands is NOT ME, nor have they ever been. I had my own VERY POPULAR techno band and VERY POPULAR non commercial public television show in Southern California that I wrote, directed, produced, edited and acted in as well as sang the theme song called “The Mistress Julie Show”, based VERY LOOSELY on an Elvira (Cassandra Peterson), style character though it was original and very different. It was non-commercial and I mention her as I later met her and she was inspirational to me as she was one of the VERY few women television personalities many years ago that carried ‘her own show.’ She also is very musical as am I. I write and perform my own material. Later I progressed and became a Filmmaker, a writer, director, producer, lead actor, etc. etc., and made and acted in an award winning highly acclaimed domestically and internationally non-commercial short entitled Gotham Café based on a Stephen King short story that was produced with the help of Steve Wozniak, Apple Computer Co-Founder whom I met. He exclaimed he felt my background resonated with Steve Jobs and his, thus inspiring him to co-produce what became my historic multi-award winning short Gotham Café in which both he and Stephen King performed cameos in at my bequest. I am a university graduate with full honors and have a genius I.Q. I have a Playmate of the Year type figure, supermodel style with perfect perky LARGER Playmate style breasts, already perky torpedo style small B’s, augmented to what I feel is a proper Baywatch style size, with the help of a Physician who augmented Playmate of the Year Winners, and numerous Tropicana Models as well as MANY WELL KNOWN CELEBRITIES. I have worked out with weights (hand weights, not in a health club-see books by Martha Vedral,) for thousands of hours to perfect my high muscle super thin, low body fat ratio, slender thin boned but tall Asian style (though I am Anglo Saxon), wrinkle free, supple figure. I wake up most mornings at 2:30 A.M, make my own breads, milks, pastas,HE detergents, fragrances, sauces, ketchups, etc., etc., etc., etc. Me and my spouse grow many of our own fruits, spices and vegetables for ethical reasons (i.e. for example, I have met migrant workers.) I am well regarded and have been to innumerable exclusive invites such as to the Playboy Mansion, know a famous White House Photographer, Ruport Murdoch asked to sit with me at a table at one of the events and the Prince Of Ethiopia (Salessie descendant,) introduced me to Mark Hughes, Herbalife Founder, to discuss World Events and inventions. I am an inventor type, coming up with numerous inventions, formulas and recipes, and also have a background in Engineering and Science and have taken a year of Mandarin Chinese as well as character writing and have been taught Latin by a PhD from Italy and in University. I have traveled to Europe, Canada, Africa and Argentina, South America (thank you Ariel Bosi of Buenos Aries, who believed in the significance of my fictional short and greeted me in Argentina during my visit there to their Canne level film festival. Though that short was not kind logic it made us think and helped those of us who were making and watching movies get to kind logic practice and thinking that much quicker if they thought about it and understood it. It also promoted vegetarianism, but I made it so 2001/Aronofsky/Kubrick like it was not clearly stated. It is NOT THE TYPE OF FILM THAT PROMOTED VIOLENCE THOUGH SADLY THERE WAS simulated violence portrayed in the short I made and co-wrote years ago. It was a let's never do that and think about each thing we do and only do positive things and do not persecute ourselves nor others also do not follow old systems if they were GIGO.)

Nice bags
I gave these bags a try by sealing up 10 bags worth of jerky.Jerky has points, uneven texture and shapes so I felt that this was a good test for these bags and it was a successful one.The bags are quality and the seals/welds are nice, strong and well done. The notches for a quick tear opening is a nice feature although a bit of color would make them easier to notice during the sealing process when lining them up. I got used to finding those notches after the first few bags and they sealed very well in our Weston Pro2300. Tearing them open was a breeze. These appear to be strong bags and at least the thickness of a more expensive bag that we have.I do not feel that the jerky will poke through nor am I concerned about abrasive tear holes being of any issue. It would be nice if there was an included box/holder to contain them in. Perhaps the manufacturer may consider that input.Price wise these are somewhat more than others but I feel that the quality of the bags helps recover from the pain of the slightly higher price. If you are looking for a good quality bag with the added features of those tear notches, thicker material, nice white writing area as well as the BPA free printing on each, I can safely recommend these bags. There are others that I have not yet tried are a lower price point. However, they do not have tear notches and are described as 3mil bags while these are 4mil and they certainly feel like 4mil or a bit thicker, which is what we are after. If you are looking for a good bag, these may be a good choice for you. We are pleased. They arrived a day early too.

better then the stock foodsaver bags I think
Only had them a few days but they were waiting in my mailbox when I got home from a day of fishing! I filled them up with a few filets each and they sealed very tight, better then the stock foodsaver bags I think. The pint and quart sizes suit my needs better than gallons usually available at the store, I can divide food up by the meal and don't feel I am wasting space. I am quite satisfied and at about half the cost I will buy more

Excellent product bad package
the bags are excellent in quality but the package is very badly design. The shrink wrap made all the bags' corner curled up and it is really annoying to slide it into the foodsaver machine and sometime I have to cut the 3/4 inch so the bag is flat. It may make no effect to the for the foodsaver that’s manual - lay flat.1 good point that the seller should point out is the indent for tear is a really good add on because it is nearly impossible to tear open this bag!I will not buy it again if the package is the same as I have tried a few other similar products and they just slide them in a ‘bag’ and made my life whole lot easier.

Doesn't Work With All Foodsaver Systems
I bought these bags because the advertising said it worked with Food Saver systems. I have a Food Saver Fresh Saver system which uses reusable bags by sucking the air out through a round seal that allows the bag to be reopened and then resealed. These bags did not work with that Food Saver. I also have a heat sealed saver systems (one time use) so I will keep the bags but I already had plenty of bags for it. If you need Food Saver Fresh Saver bags don't get this.

I highly recommend
I am extremely happy with these bags. They seem sturdier than the name-brand ones I had and work like a charm. If what I'm sealing doesn't fit in the pint size, I grab the quart one. They even have notches below where they seal so you can tear them open rather than find a pair of scissors. I will be using my sealer more often now that I have better-priced bags.

Sturdy
I enjoy the100 Vacuum Sealer Bags better than a roll. I am confident with the bottom seals and have never had one break. I only have to seal the top with my Foodsver machine, and that is perfect for me. I like having two sizes. Large for meats and smaller bags for sides and a ton of uses. I even seal up nuts and bolts so that I do not lose them. Love these tight, sturdy bags. Another plus of vacuum sealer bags is that you can thaw items in the refrigerator without worrying about a leak.

excellent deasl
I was usued to using the manufacturer's bag but this bas was actually better . The bags are premad saving me an extra seal and they were even heavier. Good bag for your buck. Downer ? The onbly thing negative I would have to say is the smaller bag is really too small for anything unless you want to seal single steaks , chops or chicken

Great value for the money.
I have purchased sealer bags, and even when on sale, they are not cheap! I like the fact that I can choose the size I want and use more frequently, Don't really care for the rolls that are included with other sets.
