Ortho 0196410 Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Spray for Indoor and Home Perimeter, 24-Ounce (Ant, Roach, Spider, Stinkbug & Centipede Killer)

I purchased this because of a hug spider issue I had in my basement. I would tear down all webs to discover the next day they were all re-spun. I had thought of using a bug bomb however I wanted to try something more simple first. This seemed to meet my needs. I sprayed the entirety of the rafters and outside boards. The spiders that were directly sprayed seemed to get lethargic instantly and all others ran away from the mist. Immediately after I tore down all webs and set down many sticky traps. If this spray failed to kill any bug it would have showed up in the sticky traps. After five weeks, nothing so far has showed up. I was afraid this would only make the spiders migrate to other parts of the house, however I haven't seen this happen. It does seem to kill nearly everything. I am weary of the long term effectiveness this will have. The instructions say it works for nonporous surfaces, but it was all sprayed on wood and concrete. I will update in six months for that. I like how it's odorless and is safe for animals and kids once dry. I would highly recommend this for anyone who has a bug infestation because it kills nearly every insect I've heard of in North America. One downside is the bottle doesn't cover much. If you have an average sized house and want to cover more than just a perimeter, order two bottles, I had to.Pros:OdorlessNo ResidueHighly EffectiveCons:... This product has amazed me! Pet safe, truly NO SMELL, dries fairly quick. I sprayed everything down 7 days ago and haven’t seen a roach since!I must express that this really seems to be working! After having pest control come out 2 months ago, I had begun to see an increase in roaches returning. (apt building issues) and it disgusts me! This also kills on the spot!Definitely going to keep using to be proactive and would recommend this to everyone!! Also was quick delivery and wrapped 3x in protective wrap so it did not leak during shipping!!

Home Defense is very easy to use, it works indoors and out. The spray bottle has a narrow stream setting and a setting for wider spray. It works for several months. the only bug I noticed that wasn't affected by it was ants.

I live in a building almost 100 years old, and there are plenty of roaches in the walls. I've tried everything, including weekly visits from the professional exterminator. But the only thing that has really, completely worked for me is this Ortho Home Defense. Even though it is supposed to have a lasting effect for months, I use it monthly in my kitchen, under the sink, under the stove and refrigerator. I also use it on the pipes in the bathroom. Ever since using this, I have NEVER, EVER seen a roach, not even a baby, which is great news because, as they say, "where there is smoke, there's fire." I highly recommend this wonderful, inexpensive product. By the way, I've also found a few dead spiders that I didn't even know I had since using Ortho Home Defense.

This product works! I live in a former horse country now city area but the fly, spider & ant problems abound in the summer like crazy! I like how it's odorless and has a nice directed spray spout. I spray inside and out every window track, door entrance and sliding glass door track and the annoying spiders, ants an flys are done for! The product lasts for about a month and it doesn't leave any residue but I still wipe the area and re-apply. Price point in comparison to other stores is good. Highly recommend.

Just a couple weeks after moving in to my new southern california apartment with my family last summer, our kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and my poor kittys food were taken over by millions of ants! They seemed to be coming from anywhere and everywhere, out the electrical sockets, the sink drain, even places where we didn't have food! Despite my best efforts to keep everything immaculate, making sure there wasn't any food lying around, sealing all containers etc they still kept coming back.. and it seemed like they always found new ways to come into our apartment. It was a nightmare!! Every morning my cats dry food would be swarmed with ants, if I even dared to give her wet food, the bowl would be totally black with them within minutes! Anyway, you get the picture! I was desperate for something to work as I tried supermarket ant traps and they didn't seem to work (at all). Finally a friend of mine recommended Otho Home Defense Max Insect Killer. Even though its a little bit of a pain to apply because you need to make sure no pets/children are present in the area while you are spraying and while its dries out completely, it saved our bacon!!!!! Its supposed to act as a barrier against insects for up to a year, its been 9 months now since our initial application and I still haven't seen any ants. This product definitely works! Just make sure you protect yourselves when you apply it and leave it to dry out completely and you should definitely see the results you are looking for!

Ortho Home Defense is a great product that really works! I spray around doors, windows and any possible point of entry, and it keeps bugs/spiders out! It keeps out all those newborn spring bugs that want to come in the house, including ants. I highly recommend this bug spray!
