Zoo MedDigital Thermometer

This little thermostat is perfect for my leopard gecko tanks. It tells me the temperature and is very accurate and if its off it is only off by one or two degrees. The only downfall to this product is when the battery dies. There is not any easy way to get the battery out and I have had to pry the battery out with tweezers and a knife because the opening is way too small. Overall, great product with a few tiny flaws

Not as nice as the regulator thermometer that comes with the heat lamp I bought, but it works and is nice to have two thermometers.

I just got this thermometer and I love it! I just wasn’t satisfied with a thermometer mounted on the glass. I wanted to know the temperature in the exact area where my BP was tucked away. With this thermometer, you can see in the pictures that I’m able to run the temperature probe under the tank bedding and directly into his warm hide area. I have the temperature read out box on top of the tank so with a push of a button, I know immediately what the temperature is. It seems very accurate. The only problem I can say I have is that the suction cup on the read out box doesn’t seem to hold very well. I will instead use a small piece of Velcro to hold it in place. The suction cup on the wire seems to be holding OK. It’s not the brightest screen to look at because it is LCD but you can see it just fine. If they brightened it up it would probably burn up the battery quicker. Overall, I’m very satisfied and will definitely buy another for my corn snake. Especially at this price. A great buy and no-brainer.

Only been a short time but the thermometer seems to be accurate, the digital display outside of the tank is great minus being operated by a watch battery but you can turn on and off with button to conserve. My bearded dragon did go after the the the thermostat on the glass at first but he gave it one chomp then left it alone since. Display mounts on suction cup on exterior glass door which is nice as well. If you're concerned about temp and tired of the little adhesive color strip indicator this is an excellent choice.

A staple. Less than a penny worth of metal. You see, the packaging is just two pieces: a front plastic mold and a cardboard back that slides out way to easy. I ordered 4. 2 were fine. 2 were missing batteries (fell out the back at the warehouse). 1 was missing a suction cup (fell out the back). 1 staple would stop all the reviews you see here complaining of missing parts. Including mine.On to the device. I have very expensive, very exact measuring devices that I use for incubation, measuring growth rates, fermentation, etc. This is not what these are for. Anyone complaining about accuracy is delusional thinking a few dollar thermometer will be a highly precise instrument. These are for convenience in less demanding spaces.I have these for my reptile cages. One on the hot side and one on the cold. I just need a general range at a glance. These are perfect. They apparently last for years. I couldn't be happier... if I had just one staple :/

I used several thermometers for our chick brooder that housed about 50 chicks. This one is my favorite and I will buy more for next year. One end stays at the bottom of the brooder (where you want to measure the temp) and the other end up top so it can be read easily....when I tested the other side of the brooder it registered quickly. As soon as you move it the temp adjusts so I can check the temp in all areas of the brooder throughout the day. I know it isn't labeled for this use but I bought it anyways and I am glad I did.Update:I just bought 2 more for my chick brooders, these are perfect for that use. Instead of putting a thermometer at the bottom of the brooder where it gets all poopy and gross these make life so much easier. The one I bought last year still has a good battery!

I feel like this works well the only reason I gave it four stars is because it takes a while for it to get the final read. I do really appreciate the fact that this is literally half the price of the same product and Petco.

I use one of these to monitor the temperature in my hermit crab's tank and another in my russian tortoise's tank. After a year they are still working well. I recommend them as you really need to know that your reptiles and inverts are at the right temperature and these are much easier to use than the old fashion stick types for that purr purse. This is a very useful device because you. Can instantly read the temp Oxford any spot in the habitat, such as in a hiding spot or behind some rocks, where you would have to manually remove a stick thermometer causing disturbance to the animals. It is best to keep your little creatures at the proper temperature and as undisturbed as possible and this digital probe thermometer does that well.

Started off ok but the after 1 day it Was telling me 33.5c instead of 37.5c In my incubator, so I turned heat up , good thing I double checked with a boots medical thermometer! Also power button was switching temperature. Not accurate enough for my needs

Waste of money, completely inaccurate by 10-15 Degrees CELSIUS,, this could kill your pet ! Please dont do this i almost left my heat mat too low for my hedgehog,, Please Please Please if you are a pet lover then dont buy this!!I cannot stress this enough

I needed this to check the temperature in my tortoise table. My previous one had taken an age to show the reading by which time it had been trampled on and dragged away fro the area I was measuring.This one responds quickly and seems really accurate. Very pleased.
