I bought it for a child in my Montessori who seems to have sensory processing disorder. When she needs to have time for herself she covers herself with the blanket and just relaxes. She fell asleep the other day for a little whiile!! I am very happy with the weighted blanket

I heard about weighted blankets from an online magazine about Autism, and this linked to a list of recommendations all of which were over £100 and mostly grey with a couple of navy options.The lack of colour didn't worry me, but the price did - as it really depends on the user whether or not it will work.My 6 yr old grandson has ADHD and Autism, his sleep pattern isn't good even with Melatonin medication and he jumps up and down for hours if he's enjoying a programme or a game, this has been even worse during lockdown.He loves unicorns and his favourite colour is green so this was definitely worth a try, and wouldn't be a complete write off even if it wasn't effective.I'd told him about it and he was very excited so thank God for next day delivery.It arrived in clear plastic and white mesh zipped packaging that comes with quality bedding. As it is folded the weight is very noticeable. It has a lovely feel and the unicorn is so cute. He LOVED it at first sight. I felt happy that even if it wasn't the solution for him it was still worth the £49.49 (after voucher saving) I'd paid.And the best bit - it works!He went to bed with it the same evening despite having been up until 6am that morning and getting up at lunchtime, and he slept.He has slept every night since, and his jumping has stopped, now he only jumps if he is playing as a character that jumps.I don't know who came up with the original idea, but we are so grateful, and also so pleased with the design, colour, quality and price.

My only concern it's really heavy but everything else is absolutely amazing soft thick and the colour so beautiful

My daughter has ASD and this comfort blanket is perfect. The weigh is not too heavy for a 9year old. It’s very soft which she likes. I specifically bought a Childs weighted blanket as the adult weighted blanket is too heavy.
