The EXACT measurement for the mounting holes is 37 1/8"......Mark a top mounting plate hole , then use a level and tape measure to mark the other top mounting hole.Hold the mounting plate aligned with the top hole and mark the mounting plate bottom holes....Then mount both mounting plates with whatever wall screws your application needs.The supplied sheetrock anchors will never hold....IF you are lucky enough to find studs...CONGRATULATIONS!!!1/8" x 2" TOGGLE bolts are the BEST to use in sheetrock.... OK, I am writing a real review of this towel bar. It is well-made, not cheap castings. Sturdy. Well-finished. Includes all the hardware necessary to install on drywall..two kinds of drywall anchors (screw in type which i recommend and the expanding plastic ones which i would not use), screws and Allen wrench for the back plate. The only thing that would have made it simpler to install would have been a template and if they give you the measurements for the spacing. I assume they use same instruction sheet for all the different lengths. Incidentally, the spacing for the 30’ bar is 30 1/2” which is a strange number as it precludes hitting two studs. I would say in general it would be better if they made these bars a little longer so the brackets were 32” apart at least for the US market. The instructions are brief but readable and accurate. The bar is shipped in a very well-padded sleeve which protects the finish nicely. I used the bar to level the installation, marked the bottom of each mounting piece the removed the mounting brackets and measured up 1/2” from bottom mark for the lower hole on the bracket. That worked out fine for me. Double check your level and use smallest bit you have to see if you have a stud. I arranged mine to catch stud at one end. If you are concerned someone might use the bar as a grab bar, buy some drywall Molly’s for the other end...they need a larger hole but are much stronger. Overall, this is a good product and looks nice on the wall.

This towel bar is gorgeous. I am doing my powder room in a brushed gold. The same company makes the tissue holder also to match. They both have clean lines and quality workmanship. They appear more expensive than they are. The problem? Neither one had the mounting parts packaged with it. I had it sent to my home that is under construction. I went there today and the carpenter informed me parts were missing and he alone opened the boxes. He said he may be able to make it work. My advice if you want to purchase them is open immediately and check everything. By the way, the towel bar was never delivered the first time. I had to call Amazon. They promptly sent another. They were worth the trouble as they are beautiful.

It's chrome and pretty decent finish. Not as heavy duty as Gatco, but also not 2x the price like Gatco.No instructions, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Here's what I do:1) hold the entire towel bar up to the wall. Under each round bracket is a screw, use pencil to draw vertical line under each.2) Now take a level and draw a horizontal line through both lines.Voila, those are your top screw mount points.

This towel bar is affordable. The brushed gold finish is pretty but it is a very yellow gold. In the pictures I posted you can see the difference between the Delta "champagne bronze" finish (last two pics) and the first photo compares the Moen brushed gold finish.

Great quality and easy to install. Came with nice anchors and doesn't stick out too far from the wall. Feels really sturdy. The 18 inch bar seems adequate

Perfect! Simply perfect! It’s the right size and oil-rubbed bronze finish! The electricians who rewired the old house from knob-and-tube… let’s just say cosmetic wall repair work was not their strong point. That said, I did my best on repairing the large gaping hole left behind, but woodwork repair turns out to not be my strong point either. My easy solution was the “cover-up” . . . a hand towel ring or hook would be too small leaving too much of my ugly repair work exposed. I needed to find a towel bar including mounts (preferably oil rubbed bronze) that would fit in a 16.5 inch space and handle a full sized towel to cover my repair work. Simple when you think about it (smiles). After visiting the big box stores and searching around, I finally found this rod on Amazon!!! It’s not only cute, but it’s a perfect size and finish! The piece arrived packaged in its own little plastic pouch that included instructions and screws necessary for installation. It took a few minutes to install and wah-lah! The finished result was a nicely designed, sturdy towel bar that with towels would hide the repair work. It is perfect!

Easy install, this product line (towel bars, toilet paper roll holder, robe hooks) is good quality (as new...no experience yet how time will treat it). They included everything needed to mount them (aside from typical tools), including two types of drywall anchors and the Allen wrench for the set screw.When I found my two year old hanging from one of the 36" towel bars, I was relieved the mount was still solid to the wall (this mount used drywall anchors, and wasn't aligned with a stud).

really good quality. made out of steel. very good price for the style. comes with everything to hang it as well. would buy it again. Definitely recommend.

Great. Install is as easy as it gets. Others complain about anchors but so u really expect? Use good hardware and it will serve for a long time. Good finish - not quite BN but passable and can be matched to you BN faucet or other bathroom hardware. Good price

This towel bar is expensive as a single item, but it is made of quality steel and the assembly parts are better than most, so it's strong and good looking. It was an add on piece to a kit I bought and it is the perfect fit for my need so I spent more than I like too.

Had to return, as the bar is 24.5 inches, not 24, so the end screws didn't line up with the existing holes from the previous towel bar. Gave it 4 stars as it would have been great if I didn't need to have the exact measurements. Seemed sturdy and well made otherwise.

Happy with my purchase. It appears to be very well made, has some weight to it and is really nice looking. It’s large enough to hold a couple of big fluffy bath towels.
