I bought these for Easter gifts. My younger Grandchildren are 5 and 9. They loved these. The books and pens don’t make a mess.My 12 year old granddaughter loved these too! I had bought an extra, I gave it to her and she was thrilled.

My toddler loves both the magnetic guy and water drawing. He takes it everywhere especially on car rides. Love how the coloring is not so messy.

We love all Melissa and Doug products! They are great quality and all ages have something to choose between.

I am not sure why some of the reviews are for an ornament. I am reviewing the necklace set. I would highly recommend this set. It not only has the necklace but a rose heart with a jewel on it. It is so pretty. It is all packaged in a nice box and comes with a gift bag. It is a perfect gift.

i bought this for my 2 1/2 year old to take on a plane trip. i wanted something besides coloring books in her carry on case. she wouldn't let me put it up for the trip once she saw it. her 4 year old brother got the 'joey' one and they have been playing with them every day! i was honestly surprised at how much the love them. the number of pieces per outfit is completely age appropriate. not too difficult and not too boring. the magnets aren't so strong that the clothes are hard to remove, but they don't fall off easily either. i'm not sure how durable these will be though. my husband got a few of the pieces wet, and i see a tiny bit of rippling on them. and i know he didn't let them stay wet for long. i too wish they came with a cover! i am not sure how i'm going to take these on to the planes in their carry on cases. i'll have to transfer them to another container or make some sort of cover, which is kind of annoying.

This saved me a lot of hassle today. I received the item in the mail the same day I found out I could get in for a haircut but didn't have a sitter for my 2 1/2-year-old daughter. She played with this set next to me while I got my hair cut and it made it completely painless.I can understand why some people are bothered by it not having a lid, but if you know this in advanced, it is easy to get a Tupperware container or zip-lock bag to store it in. One annoyance is that if your child (like mine) is still at an age where they like to put things in their mouth, you will need to closely supervise their play. My daughter stuck one of the dresses in her mouth and scraped her teeth over it and some of the color came off, making the piece not so pretty. It is a good quiet time toy.

I cannot recommend this toy highly enough for little girls aged two to three. It proved an absolute hit with my little daughter this christmas. She absolutely loved it.She got great fun dressing up the princess and, along the way, learned her colours and new words such as tiara, sleeves, skirt, top etc.Like others who have reviewed this toy before, I thought it a shame that the lid for the box in which the pieces are kept is made of throw-away plastic. However, we simply popped the princess and her various pieces of clothes into a string bag and our daughter carried them with her....to grand-parents, friends, playgroup, everywhere!And, from our perspective, it was a much welcome alternative to the iphone as a means of keeping her amused when we ate out over the christmas holidays.

This is a Christmas gift for my 3 year old Grandaughter who loves to play with her dollies so I'm sure she will spend hours dressing/undressing the. Magnetic figures. Nice gift.

My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday and loves it. It is really good quality and she really enjoys mixing and matching the different clothes to dress up the princess. The only disappointment is that there is no lid with it so it is very easy to lose pieces.

Bought for grandchildren 4years of age. A really loved toy. The only negative is that there is no lid to place on top when the pieces are stored away.
