Turned an old full-size bed into a queen-size bed with these rails.
My first impression was that I didn't like the rails. Tried to use them on an old bed and they would not work. I then tried them with another old headboard and footboard and they fit just like they were made for them. Put a few slats on the rails and added a queen-size box spring and mattress. Just like having a new bed.

Flimsy. Weak, thin, and easily bent
These are both pricy and poorly made, unfortunately. But at the time I purchased these rails, there were no other products I could find that were comparable.I bought these to replace the very thick, rigid, and wide-flanged metal rails that came with an old bed, because I had bought a queen-sized box spring and mattress and the old rails were full sized. Regrettably, these new, queen-sized rails are made from weak metal and are thin, which makes them way too flexible and prone to bending. Moreover, the inside flanges/lips that hold up the slats or box spring are quite narrow, unlike the wide flanges of the originals.Overall, these rails are flimsy and not sturdy. I would not trust them to function without adding additional supports, which is what I did.As a positive, they were at least the correct length for my queen-size set up, and the hooks fit correctly into the headboard and baseboard.

Great, but u will need to stabilize if you’re using for a twin extra long.
These metal side rails come with a stabilizer wire that hooks between them and will keep your queen size bed from falling down due to the side rails bowing out word when there is pressure on the mattress. But we didn’t use these for a queen size bed.We turned a twin sized headboard and footboard into a twin extra long using these sturdy queen size side rails.A twin extra long is just it twin bed that’s a queen size length & great for teenagers. I found the headboard and footboard at a yard sale, beautiful antique walnut, but did not fit the twin extra long mattress we had.Ive found it difficult to find frames we liked for twin extra long mattress. The coupling fit quickly and easily into this antique headboard and footboard and we had slats put in between. When we put the mattress on top and sat on it, the side rails pulled outward and 1/2 the slats fell out and the mattress sank through. So you’re going to need to screw some of your slats into the side rails to hold them from bowing outward. There are a few pre-drilled holes you can access if need be in the side rails. After doing that it’s working out really well.

Doesn't fit my twin xl boxframe
Attached to my headboard/foot board and my box spring doesn't even touch the sides! And yes, it is a twin xl. It was rather wobbly when hooked up as well. Even if it did fit on the rails, there is still a bunch of space between the footboard and the box spring/mattress. Disappointed this does not fit.
