Incredible heat blocking
This film is fantastic. Western Colorado has been incredibly warm lately, over 100°F, and the indoor temps have been easy to keep. Prior to applying this film the bedrooms could not stay below 80°F in the sweltering months. We use to have to sleep with ice packs in order to cool off. Now, with the film applied the HVAC unit is working less, cooling more, and overall way more comfortable indoors.I do agree with every other person who says that you cannot clean the windows enough before applying hold true. Clean, clean, and clean more than you'd expect and it's a fairly simple install.

It works
It is not easy to find a film that can be applied to the exterior of a window. I have a door with a scalloped interior, so this is one of the few options I could find to do the job. It is not any harder or easier to apply than Gila films. It does reduce light transmission. I have no way to test UV blocking. But as for heat rejection, it does not compare to Gila Titanium film, The Titanium is extremely effective at heat rejection, but with this you can definitely feel some heat coming through, though I'm sure it is rejecting some. On the exterior, it does have a black reflective finish, so it is good for privacy.

The best window tint
I tried interior window tint before using this product and what a HUGE difference this makes. The room is significantly cooler because the heat stays outside with this exterior window tint. The packaging, instructions, tools included and overall ease of installation make this a 5 star. I’d buy again.

disappointed...bubbles just like the interior film tint product.
I have used window film products in past with great results and is the reason I chose to use it again. This exterior grade film product gets long streak type bubbles in it just like the interior product did.Prepped surface correctly as in past. This is why I question purchasing off internet and Amazon.I used half of product purchased and now out $50. Not looking for free stuff as my labor was worth more than the product and I was hoping for a satisfactory result. I am very capable at building and renovation project.

UPDATE 3/4 of roll was as expected, but I needed the entire roll.
UPDATE: Mea culpa to the seller; I thought I updated my listing when you sent the new film. The seller sent a replacement roll of film; quality issues can (and do) happen to anyone, what matters is how they are handled. Original review below, but I have 0 complaints.Application wasn't too difficult; clean the window, use razor to clean more, clean again, saturate glass & film with diluted baby shampoo, trim with razor, realize inside of windows is dirty & clean that too (haha) & the end result looks nice. Less dark than I thought it'd be, but I am in Arizona, so even blackout curtains struggle on the south side of the house. I bought enough to (just barely) cover 2 full windows (4 panes of glass).Trouble is the last few feet of the roll must have been the start of a master roll at the factory, because it had a couple significant defects in it & I started with my least visible window (to allow for human error in application), so it's in the most visible place in the room. One was a weird ripple (that I hoped would go away when hung) and the other was a deep scratch that was only visible once hung (from the inside - it's almost clear there). Both were really hard to photograph & I'll update this review if the seller takes care of the problem (though I am not looking forward to removing it & redoing it, not to mention I only need 1/4 of a roll & they don't sell it that length).Images:1. The 'ripple' (kinda looks like 2 parallel scratches in the photo)2. The scratch (really hard to see in the photo, but it is a little over 12" long & basically in the middle of the pane of glass3. The difference between glass + film and no glass or film (the window frame is reddish due to sun bouncing off partly-red iPad case). While not as dark as I had hoped, I can attest to the tile floor directly lit by the window being cooler than pre-film (though not as cool as the tile in the shade).

Window glass gets warm.
I chose exterior film to prevent sun and heat from getting into a window. However, when I compare the temperature of the film-treated window to the untreated window I can feel a substantial difference. The film appears to be converting a significant amount of energy to heat which it then transfers to the glass. I understand that the untreated window is allowing the energy to enter the house and heat up whatever surface it hits, but I had hoped that the treated window would actually reject the heat and light energy away from the window. The film was easy to apply and even though my initial installation appeared to have some optical flaws, it cleared up in a day and is now perfectly clear. The production quality of the film is good, I am just unsatisfied with the heat transmission.

Easy to apply
This product does give great privacy during the day. Not so much in the evening time and when a light is on inside. We purchased it for daytime privacy and I am thrilled with it!!

Love it!
Love the product!! Does the job just right however a little difficult to install alone. One side is adhesive and can pick up dust during application. Wish the same version existed with interior installation.
