Wonderful cycling jacket, odd sizing
Ok, so it's not cheap but perhaps worth it to get this level of waterproofing and breathability. It's also remarkably lightweight. However, sizing is frankly bizarre, especially in something that is supposed to be "comfort fitting" - even for cycling clothing.Normally I wear medium to large - depending on the brand. Never, have I had to order an XL. And no, it's not all those cafes stops. And yet, the XL is perhaps a fraction larger than I would like. Just keep this in mind.

Well made light and fits well
You can't beat Goretex for keeping you dry and also allowing some breathability, it's better than almost all the other materials available. This jacket is very well made, light and fits very well, the slightly longer sleeves are perfect for cycling and the longer back will keep the rain and road water off my back. It's not got wet yet but Goretex is the best for rainproof jackets and it's been a very useful wind proof layer so far. (My motorcycle clothing is all Goretex too)The colour is also nice, sharp enough to stand out but not attract the flies like fluorescent yellow does in the summer. Not the cheapest jacket but I wanted to buy one now and use it all year - cheaper jackets rip and leak so are usually not good value. I can see this lasting for years.

great jacket but a disappointing back pocket
I've been buying gore jackets for years to wear on my commuting journeys. I'm a big fan of the Goretex technology and having tried a cheaper jacket once and sweated buckets I wouldnt use anything else. Every time I buy a new one I find something a has changed about the design. This time round it is the back "banana and keys" pocket. Its a mistake in my opinion. Side entry, supposedly makes it easier to access but I found it more awkward than top entry with teh added downside that if you forget to zip it up there is every possibility that your banana and keys will be left on the road somewhere between home and work. It is also half the size. A retrograde step in my opinion. That aside I love the colour the fit and the performance.

Ordered size smaller, but no tags with jacket.
This arrived scrunched up in a poly bag and there were no tags attached to the jacket (I would expect the usual Gore-tex tags etc). Maybe this was a return? Checked it over and it seems ok, but not worn whilst cycling yet. Also arrived a day early, not usually a problem but it caused a problem for me as I had selected my place of work as the delivery address, knowing I would be there on the advised date for delivery.4 stars for now but will update once I use it.According to the size chart I should be a medium, 36" chest, but this is what Gore call 'Active fit' which is looser fitting and they advise, on their website size chart, to get a size down if you want a more slim/tight fit if you fall between two sizes. That didn't quite apply to me, being in the middle of the Medium size range, but it fits fine. I say fine, but I wouldn't be able to wear much underneath, standard cycling jersey and shorts will be ok, exactly what I want this for.For reference I'm also only 5ft 3in tall, 31" waist, 35.5" hips. The smaller size also means the arm length is better suited to me too.Update 17/11/2021: I've now worn this a few times in light and heavy rain and can report that it performs as expected; it does not leak. I've worn it over a Boardman summer cycling jersey, a long sleeve Castelli Perfetto ROS jacket (tight fitting) and a DHB Classic Thermal softshell jacket (slightly looser fitting). As it gets colder, I'll also be wearing a merino wool top underneath the two long sleeve jackets, and this will fit over comfortably. There is a bit of sweat vapour built up, but nothing that I notice as wet when riding, and certainly not wet through any other clothing. I think it generally condenses the vapour in parts of the jacket, maybe at points where it's not so close to my body (jacket beneath) and there is an air gap or maybe cause my me unzipping a bit for some cooling.Upgraded to 5 stars now.

Nice jacket
Light weight and excellent quality jacket. Packable and comfortable. I have an XXL which is a great size. I am 6’2 and large build and there is plenty of room for warm weather kit underneath due to it being a more relaxed fit. I have read some reviews complaining of a small chest pocket. I am able to fit an iphone pro max into this pocket with no issues. I would recommend this jacket.

Well made, good snug fit, light weight
Nice jacket, feels good quality and quite light, packs down small. There seems to be a lot of conflicting views on the sizing with review recommendations to size up and even to size down! I'm 6ft / 182cm and 176lb / 80kg, relatively light build. I ordered size Medium which is a good fit - on the slim side but that's generally what you want for a cycling jacket and there's still room under it for a winter jersey without it feeling tight. I usually order mens' medium size so the sizing is pretty much as expected.

I'm dry
Windproof, but not insulating, keep me dry in the rain, easy to pack in a ruck sac I recommend it.
