Homemaker Cookie Press/Maker Set

I need a bigger freezer! This cookie press is super easy to use & FUN!!! I like to make cookies ahead of time & then freeze them. I have Christmas cookies made already & it's only Oct!

Cookie press does not fit our old wilton cookie shape inserts, can only use the included shapes. Press button does not push dough out evenly with each press. I experimented with a full press and going by the number of clicks I heard. You can get too little or too much, there is no rhyme or reason to it. I included a picture of the better ones I could bake. Also you can't pause and go back to it. Once you're on a roll you better keep going or you'll get dough strings. It seems like it gets some residual built up pressure as you go. Overall I like my old Wilton better.Update: I took it out for a second use. 10x more frustrating than the first time I used it. Again there is no consistency in the pressure of this cookie press. The dies are bowing out because they are so thin and flimsy and the presser foot itself is warping and the dough is leaking behind the presser of the shaft. Forgot to mention last time that the foot is made of plastic, not metal as one would hope with a cookie press advertised as stainless steel. All these issues coupled with the tricky advertising of the cookie press being stainless steel when the majority of it is aluminum, I just couldn't leave this a 3 star and charged it to a one star.

I LOVE this press! It takes some trial-and-error learning as instructions were pretty nearly nil. It made Spritzes wonderfully and worked more easily than my mom's Mirro ever did! The fill size is perfect. I get two press runs per batch of dough (and so made two colors and shapes). There are LOTS of dyes to choose from (included). I am very happy with this purchase.

I guess you get what you pay for. I grew up making cookies with a cookie press. When I got married I used my mother's for years. It was lost during one of our moves. This one is a flimsy plastic. The designs fall out of the tube. Nothing looks like it is supposed to. It doesn't hold much dough. And after 1 use I won't try it again

Have only used this once so far and there was a huge learning curve. It's been many years since I've used a cookie press and the instructions that come with this one are not very detailed. I finally grasped how to get the cookies to come out after trying for a half hour or so.. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy. My only other complaint is that you really have to have the lever lined up just right before it will do anything. Took me several tries each time I filled it before it would start working properly. Good deal for the money. Has a ton of disks as well as tips. I'm sure I will get my use out of this.

I made Christmas tree shaped cookies and it seemed like each new load of dough took too many tries until they came out nicely shaped. When they DID turn out the shape was very nice. Also, it did not always click into place for the full amount of dough to be extruded. Overall it is good, but certainly not a great cookie press. It was at a good price, I am not sure I would buy this model again though. 3 1/2 stars would be my rating.

Not much on icing decorating but the cookies turned out great !
