Q: Hear good things about this tool. However don’t the weeds come back without pulling the roots and just cutting the tops off?

I like this tool. It is very easy to use. Yes the weeds will grow back. When I bought this the weeds were about 8-10". It sliced right through them. It seems to work best when about a 1/2' deep. It works on the push as well as on the pull. Now I weed when they are about an inch tall to maintain a clean look. I use it every couple weeks. Just a couple passes with a file keeps the edges sharp.

Q: how sturdy is joint between head and handle

It’s welded & seems to be pretty sturdy. This is the best hoe I have ever purchased. My ground is pretty hard & this hoe takes the off easily.

This tool is made in the good old US and has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. I think their tools are used by all the wild fire people in fighting fires. It’s the best, HD tool I have. I use it daily. Would highly recommend!!

It is a push pull tool, you are able to flip/tip the tool and use the pointed end to dig and loosen soil.
